Why doesn't anybody like kenny phillips out of miami. This dude would be our ed reed. There is no sense in building the outside of the defense without finishing the deep middle. Does anybody on this board really want dexter or williams back next year? We need a new safety just as bad as any other position on defense. Marvin white and duke nukem are never going to be pro bowlers. If our secondary is not complete, we will never beat the likes of the colts or the patriots. So whats the point in getting a defensive lineman with the first pick if we can't win the superbowl with that pick. This may be our last chance to grab an up and coming safety. I like marvins ability to find lineman in later rounds.

Sedrick can't be our pick if we are moving to a 3-4, and thats what i want to happen. There is no reason why we can't put the money down to get terrell suggs. This is turning into my offseason wish list. So I will add Rex Ryan as DC. Albert haynesworth isn't going to happen because the titans should have enough money to franchise him if I am not mistaken.

Everything starts with the line. Great teams have good lines and bad teams have bad lines thats just how it is. I was talking about Kenny Philips a few weeks ago and then after seeing Marvin White finally play and begin to learn i do not see a need ot draft him. If we switch to a 3-4 sedrick Ellis would still not be a bad pick. He would not be the DT but he could play end in the 3-4 with no problem. I do not like Rex Ryan he is not as good as people say.

Phillips might be an upgrade over our current safeties, but the fact is we already have a solid starter in Madieu plus Ndukwe and White from last years draft and hopefully a return of the promising Ethan Kilmer.

I'm not saying we are super stocked a safety, but we have much bigger needs alsewhere.

Um, no we don't.

We need Defensive Tackles far more than any other position on the team. I'm all for Phillips, if he can play DT. On the other hand, if Ellis, Dorsey, Gholston, Long, and Little Animal are all gone (or not in the draft), then maybe he doesn't look so bad.

Doesn't matter how fast Kenny Phillips, Ed Reed, Reggie Nelson or anyone else is when you're getting carved up by JP Losman and Shaun Hill. You win up front and our DLine is the worst in the league- its no wonder we can't make it out of the high 20's on defense.

Not sure why you don't like Sed Ellis for a 3-4 NT either. From what I've seen he gets little penetration and in incapable of lateral pursuit. I think occupying several interior blockers is precisely where he'd excel.

Agreed saftey is not our #1 need especially when we have holes to fill on the D line.

You are the crazy guy of the yr,LOL. Our secondary will do just fine when we have a good DL. Ellis would be good as a NT if we go 3-4, this is what he does. I think we need to look at the Okam kid also.
