I have a border collie and four gigantic carnivorous lizards. I'm also thinking about getting into some large tropical fish (arowanas).

4 cats, 2 goldfish.
The cats are a siamese/oriental tabby cross called Lily, a black British Shorthair called Albert, a ginger despot called Custard and a tortoiseshell sewer rat; becky, pictured left (in my avatar). The fish are Edward and Pesca.

First and foremost is my Siberian Husky, Draco, whom I've had since she was just 6 weeks (she turns 10 years old next month).

Right now I have a Chinchilla. I used to have a Rottie, but my ex-wife got him in the divorce. I miss him more than her.

Dude I like you better already! I was looking for another reptile keeper or two. I've kept snakes in the past but my girlfriend won't let me keep them anymore, as her brothers are petrified of them and won't come near the house If I have them. They won't even go into the reptile house at the zoo. For about five years I had a coastal carpet python, yellow anaconda (8ft mean ***** female) and a very sweet female burmese that a buddy dumped off on me as a "present". Right now I have an Argentine tegu(Thurman) that rules my huge sunroom from May until whenever it gets too cool (they're pretty tolerant of fluctuating temps, some folks keep the outdoors all year in southern states). I also have a big Colombian tegu who is much less personable. I have 2 monitors, one red dwarf spiny tail (Marvin) and one cb06 Dumeril's monitor bred by Ben Aller in NorCal. The Dumeril's is an awsome creature. It's a master of all terrains. When it's not burrowing it's climbing in it's cork tubes, and when it's not doing that it's bathing in it's tub. Not my most freindly critter, but my favorite to watch and get new toys for. I want to work in another snake eventually, preferably a woma or a chondro. Do you keep either species?

Those are beautiful dogs I love them. Right now I just have a cat and he's pretty cool. Half the time I dont even know he's there and they are low maintenance. I'm looking into a German Shephard puppy though i've always wanted one.

I currently dont keep or breed any boids. But if I did, a Dumeril's would be one of my choices. Womas are too darned expensive.
I have all colubrids. I breed Kunashir Island (Japanese) Ratsnakes, Variable Kingsnakes, and have a pair of Everglades Ratsnakes that I am waiting to reach breeding age. I also have a female Speckled King I will try to find a mate for. Beyond that I have a White Oak phase Gray Ratsnake, a Tahumara Mtn Kingsnake, and an Amel Cornsnake.

Rumor has it that Beaker let Shanniefly play with his snake while she was in town. [:O]
Please confirm or deny! [:D]

That's cool. I got my nephew a corn for his birthday and he loves it. Sometimes I wish I'd gotten into smaller stuff, but the heavy hitters are just too much fun (most of the time, as I've lost one and a half fingernails to my argentine due to my own stupidity when cleaning his cage). I saw a nice Dumeril's boa at the louisville zoo a year or so ago. I've heard good things about them. It's inevitable, I think that I'll get a chondro one day. I'm old enough now that my charges don't neccissarily need to be pets, ie handled all the time. They're such beautiful animals, but have bad reps and big canines as you know. That's a way off though. My lizards take up all my extra room for the time being.

1 dog, a Lhasa Apso named Murphy that we saved from the SPCA. He was one of the Huricane Katrina dogs they had brought up here to find homes for. He was the only one that wasn't barking when we went to look at them. I saw him and said, "we have a winner."
1 cat, a black cat named Boo. She was a stray kitten that crawled up under the siding of my house on Halloween. I really didn't want a cat, but a black cat on Halloween, too wierd to pass up. She's a good kitty, but she's nutty as a squirrel turd.
