Who would you choose, Durant or Oden. I'm thinking Oden.
Incidentally, here's the rest of the draft order.
2 Seattle
3 Atlanta
4 Memphis
5 Boston
6 Milwaukee
7 Minnesota
8 Charlotte
9 Chicago
10 Sacramento
11 Atlanta (via Indiana Pacers)
12 Philidelphia
13 New Orleans
14 LA Clippers

I'm glad that Seattle and Protland got hte first 2 picks. I don't really like the NBA, but I didn't want to see one of the teams that were tanking at the end of the season being rewarded with Oden or Durant.

It's completely and utterly stupid. Tanking or not, Memphis and Boston were the worst teams in the league. Irregardless, it's ridiculous that the worst team in the league in any given year has a 75% chance of not getting the #1 overall pick. Not only that, but now the 2 worst teams have the 4th & 5th overall. The draft is supposed to help bad teams get better, not penalize them for their struggles. The NFL doesn't need this type of gimmick and who's to say the Raiders didn't tank to edge the Lions for the #1 overall pick?

I'm thinking Oden as well...it should be a no brainer.

I was hoping that the Bulls would've gotten the first pick, that would've been sweeeeeeeeeet. Could you imagine them with Oden, oh man.

I agree that it's a stupid gimmick that should be stopped, but in this case, I'm glad it worked out the way it did. As far as the Raiders go, they were the worst team last year.

oden all the way. durant has bust written all over him, no where near the strength he's gonna need to take on the best swing players in the NBA

But it's supposed to prevent "tanking" so every team gives it their best every night they play. Boston was not the worst, and just last season Memphis was in the playoffs. Seattle and Portland need these picks because they have been struggling mightly over the past so many years.
And, just my point. The Raiders were not the worst team in football, the Lions were, IMO anyway. Sure, Memphis and Boston do not get the 1 or 2 pick, but so be it. I love the lottery more than any other method aside from Major League Baseball's. Because with the MLB, it's a crap shoot from round 1 to whatever round they stop drafting, really.

How does Durant have bust written all over him? He's a Power Forward, not a center, so he doesn't need to be built like Oden. And, NEWSFLASH. He won the player of the year last year because he can shoot from anywhere. He fits the mold of the 2006-2007 MVP.

he isn't strong enough to play PF, he'd get eaten alive down there. granted he is a good shot, but just wait and see. [:)]
also calbert cheaney won the naismith award, and he was no MVP.

Yeah, but Durant beat the entire Florida squad, big baby, Hansborough, Oden, Acie Law, etc. for the award, that says something.
Fact of the matter, you don't need to be overpowering to play in the NBA if you can shoot as well as Durant can and have his size.

I honestly think between Oden and Durrant it is a win win situation, similiar to the Lebron/Wade draft.
Kevin Durrant reminds me of a faster better shooting version of Kevin Garnett, and who would not want Kevin Garnett on there team.
Greg Oden is a defensive C who you can build a team around, but the problem with Oden is he does not score as much points as a Kevin Durrant.
But with Portland here is their starting lineup
Roy
Jack
Randolph
?
Aldridge
I think Aldridge would be a better fit as a PF than a C, and Roy could help Oden score more points because he is a heck of a point guard.
Its a win win Situation.
