1. I hope he's still there, but I doubt it.
2. Too early for WR. The only offensive position I would consider that early is TE.
3a. I doubt he lasts that long, and I'd be happy with him in 2.
3b. Not bad
4. For RB or FB?
5. I could live with that.
6. Don't know much about him, but if WalterFootball.com has his numbers right, a good pick.
7a and b. Wimp :D

Devin Thomas is an interesting pick he's got huge potential and could be the BPA. Im assuming you would then cut Chris Henry or trade Chad.

Not a big fan of your third rounders. Ellis has had some character problems and is more of a pass rush specialist and Crable I think is more of a 34 OLB and doesn't have the coverage skills for our system.

Schmitt would be a good pick if he's there.

The other two would be projects, but they both seem to have potential so I wouldnt complain.

Not bad

1. I'm expecting some shuffling in the top 10 between now and the draft. Many of the top 20 draftees weren't at the Sr. Bowl, thus Ellis moved up compared to many others. With the combine to come I'm expecting some surprises to pop into the top 10 and leave SE available.

2. Disagree on too early for WR. With Chris Henry in limbo and TJ gettingo n it years you HAVE to draft a good WR to keep Carson full of weapons. I'm assuming CJ will be here regardless of his rumblings. I think it's smoke and he's under contract. Also, I have no issues with having 4 good WR's. 4 WR sets would be good for the Bengals and open up things for the running game. As for the pick itself, I really like what I've read about him. Fast, excellent hands, excellent BLOCKER, sharp route runner. Lotsa upside.

3. a/b *nods*

4. RB or FB - answer is yes. Could even put him at tight end in motion schemes. Schmitt's versatility is his greatest asset.

5. Lotsa centers available after rnd 4 - and I like the idea of drafting an experienced thinker. A center needs to be the smartest lineman on the field.

6. Yeah I like his stats too, so we'll see if he's still here.

7. a/b :p

Devin Thomas - No I wouldnt cut or trade anyone. As long as Carson is your QB you have to keep him in weapons and DT's skills, size and speed make him very versatile. Also you could call our receiver corps poor after TJ and CJ. With TJ in his last year and no extension yet and CJ acting like a 2 year old, who knows what the future brings.

3rd round - We don't know what our scheme is going to be, and I think we need to go defense in the third round if we draft a WR in the second.

See my Schmitt coments from my previous post. I agree.

Late round picks - agreed - projects. You want to pick athletes with upside.
