You might be thinking, hey why did he leave Brian Brohm off the first round and replace him with Andre Woodson?

That is easy. Because I believe Brian Brohm's arm strength will knock him down off the boards, and Andre Woodson has been working extremely hard with a great combine camp, and I think he is going to shoot up the boards after the combines.

Also, I know we have Kenny Irons, Kenny Watson, Chris Perry, DeDe Dorsey and Rudi Johnson on the team. I believe that Rudi Johnson will end up being gone as well as Chris Perry and DeDe Dorsey.

If Darren McFadden falls to us, and the rest of these impact players are off the boards, you would have to go with McFadden, wouldn't you?

I would love nothing else to see Sedrick Ellis, Vernon Gholston, Glenn Dorsey, Chris Long to fall to us. Keith Rivers more than likely will be there when we pick, but the reason why I said New England would select him, the LB core is old, who knows if Junior and Teddy are back, if they sign Zach Thomas then it would change the positions more than likely of McFadden and Rivers.

Don't think the Jets will pass on McFadden and then explain to their fans that Leon Wahington is the future...though it would be entertaining...

if mcfadden falls to us i have got to say trade him to dallas...you might be able to get both of their number 1's or something we need help too much on D to draft an offensive player...if he is there i think it will help us by allowing us to trade up and pick up a second or third with it....i will be P.O. if we end up with mcfadden as our pick...besides no way he gets past new england they are too smart not to trade their pick

They still have Thomas Jones, and they need help on defense. Also a lot of reports that I am reading, is that Darren McFadden is falling out of the top 10 on a lot of peoples boards. Do not ask me why, but that is what I am hearing.

See, I would trade the pick as well, but this is a mock for all teams, not a fantasy trade mock. If that were to happen you have to take McFadden. I think that the Cowboys are actually wanting Felix Jones more now.

I'm on board with taking McFadden, but I believe we'd be able to land a trade with someone so they could get him. I still think that Jerry Jones would want him if he fell at #9 and I'll gladly take their Miami trade where they were offering their 1st round picks and Marion Barber.

Marion Baber was not apart of the trade. That was false. Julius Jones is a free agent and Wade Phillips LOVES Marion Barber. I doubt Barber would go, or any team would hop on that faster than the Ohio State Bandwagon.

The heck with it. If that's the case, then say hello to our new franchise RB.

Ha say hello to a guy who (behind our healthy O-Line) could get us possibly 2,000 yards on the ground in one year.

Good job. I think this mock draft makes a lot more sense than most people think. I don't see the Pats drafting Rivers though. Not because they don't need one but they have a history of picking up veterans instead of using high draft picks on linebackers.

He'd help our D so much. He'd keep them off the field so they could catch their breath. The idea that we could have a game breaker in Darren McFadden is mind blowing.

I seriously doubt that we will not end up with McFadden. The Jets, Falcons, NE or Raiders will take McFadden before he drops to us. Also being in Dallas for the past several months and hearing what the sports talking heads, players and others have to say, they will definitely make a move for McFadden if he drops that far...

I can honestly tell you I am not sure if I like that or not, I struggle back and forth with that pick.
Interesting choice though:hmm:

Here is the thing.

I do think if McFadden falls out of top 5, Jets or Patriots could pick him up. Leodis McKelvin more than likely could end up in New England rather than Baltimore, and Ketih Rivers could go to Baltimore.

Atlanta does not need a RB yet, they still have Warrick Dunn and Norwood.

New York Jets have Thomas Jones and Leon Washington.

Do the Patriots really need another 1st round RB, that they will barely use? Lauernce Maroney is actually a good back. He just did not have a chance to run this year because the system was pass heavy.

Baltimore signed Willis to a huge deal.

The Oakland Raiders are really the only team that I see that could take Darren McFadden right now. Al Davis likes flashy players, but I think behind that awful o-line they will sway to go somewhere else on a more awful defensive line. Thats my thoughts right now.

This is not a trade mock, of course if Darren McFadden falls past New England Dallas is going to make a jump, but they know Baltimore will not take Darren McFadden. Why would they? That means Dallas would have to make a huge trade to THE CINCINNATI BENGALS regarding 2 of the 1st round picks that the have in their hands.

Im also still hearing that they are liking Felix Jones a lot.

But I mean if this were to happen, who would you take rather than Run DMC?

Kenny Phelps? We have Duke Nukem, Dexter Jackson, HD Jones, Kilmer and Marvin White.

Kentwan Balmer- Injury plagued. Not worth a top 15 pick.

Calais Campbell- Questions about his heart and determination. Does he just want money or does he want to play the game? Gets frustrated easily. Also a Reach Pick by 13.

Phillip Merling-REACH PICK. If there was one. Phillip Merling is slated to go anywhere from Middle 1st to Middle 2nd.

Derrick Harvey- Another Reach pick, by about 10 picks. Im not sold on these Florida players in the NFL. Jarvis Moss did not have a stellar year, and Derrick Harvey is almost a replica of Jarvis Moss.

I mean who else is there to take?

I seriously can not recall so much of a jumbled mess in the top 10. People throwing out wild mocks but they do have a reason for doing so. At this point I HAVE NO IDEA WHO IS GOING TO BE PICKED AHEAD OF US AT #1 - #8.

I've heard #1 will be: Ryan, C. Long, J. Long, Gholston, McFadden, Ellis, Dorsey

Now that's a long list of potential overall #1 picks!

I figure come draft day we'll just put the top 10 consensus overall picks and the teams will just pick 'em out of a hat!!!

To be fair though Moss was hurt this season. I don't think he even played in half of the games. Plus that whole Denver defense was horrible this year. Moss should pick it up next season.

I agree with you in the fact that if McFadden is still around, I could pick him instead of Harvey. But if McFadden and the big 4 are gone, I don't think Harvey is bad pick. Still not sure if I would take Harvey or Merling at that pick, but I don't think either would be bad...

It really is a crap shoot this season. I hear Atlanta and Baltimore might take a QB with thier 1st picks, then I hear that it's possible that no QB is taken in the top 20 picks. Should be an interesting 1st day...

This is an interesting draft period. I think that Ellis, C. Long and Jake Long are the top 3 best players available.

But the thing is, Chris Long reminds me of... JUSTIN SMITH. Im not even kidding. Chris Long reminds me of a Justin Smith clone. Maybe in the right system he will flourish, and I think Miami is not the system he should be in.. Not yet.
