I hadn't realized I posted this in the NFL Draft and not in the proper Mock draft section. So again, here is my mock draft.

This year's draft is the one that we must use to build our team for TODAY and for years to come. Saying that, I think it is important to do whatever we can to accomplish this. My suggestion how to do it, we should trade our 2009 first round pick to whoever is willing to give us a second and third round pick for our 2008 draft. If this would occur, my bengals draft would look something like this:

Round 1
I would draft either an OL or DL. If we switch to a 3-4, I would draft a DL. Saying that, I would draft either Gholston or Ellis if they're available. For OL, I would draft Clady or Long (I can see Long dropping down to 9).

Round 2
I would draft a TE on the first 2nd round pick. I would draft either Davis, Carlson, or Rucker. All three will probably slide down to 2nd round. So I think it is possible to draft Davis.

Round 2 (from trading our 2009 first round pick)
I would draft either DL or LB. For DL (if he falls down far enough) i would draft Balmer. If he's not available, then I would draft Pat Sims. As for LB, I'm not really sure who I would draft. It depends on what we do with our current LB and D format situation.

Round 3 (Our original draft pick)
I would draft either another DL or LB...Depends on how we draft in Round 1, and 2nd second round pick.

Round 3 (for steinbach)
I would draft a FB. I would draft Owen Schmitt if he is available.

Round 3 (for trading our 2009 first round draft pick)
I would draft a Safety I would draft Craig Steltz if he is available

Round 4
I would draft a WR. I would draft Davone Bess.

Round 5
I would draft a OL

Round 6
I would draft a CB

Round 6
I would draft a C

Round 7
I would draft a DL

Round 7
K or P

I would go ahead and pass on trading away the 09 pick, look at how that turned out for San Fran this year. I also do not see us taking an OT on the first day and the chances of Long falling to 9 are not so good. Better shot at Chris Long, Ellis, Dorsey and GHolston all being available at 9.

I would also ensure we pick up a veteran safety or maybe a LB from free agency. This would provide us with the experience we need, but will also help mentor the new guys!

Just pick some players, no one is interested in discussing something this vague.

It is too difficult to decide how or who we should draft until we know if we're switching to 3-4 and if we're cutting justin smith and others. If we release all of our free agents, then we will need to draft more players for our defense. But if we re-sign some of them (and hopefully pick up someone in free agency), then our needs are not as extensive and we can focus on other needs in the draft.

HOWEVER, per your request I will roll out a draft that is more specific. :tiger:;)
