After debating all the trade scenarios, I think it's unlikely we'll be able to trade down in this year's draft. However, It looks like Bengals fans (including myself) will be happy to see either Ellis or Dorsey available at the ninth pick!

Here's how I see it shaping up:

Dolphins-C Long
Rams- J Long
Atlanta-D McFadden
Raiders-S Ellis/Dorsey (Probably Ellis at this point)
Cheifs-R Clady
Jets-V Gholston
Patriots-L McKelvin
Ravens-M Ryan
Bengals- Ellis/Dorsey (Probably Dorsey at this point)

Bengals:

#2 Trevor Laws DE/DT or Dre Moore DT/DE
#3a Matt Forte RB (screws Pittsburgh)
#3b Brad Cottam or Dustin Keller TE(whichever available)
#4 Marcus Howard LB
#5a Zack Bowman CB or Matt McGlynn OL
#5b Dexter Jackson WR/KR
#6 Johnny Dingle DE
#7a Jack Ikegwuono CB (a chance on an injured star with 1st-2nd Round skills)
#7b Nick Hayden DT Wisconson

We then need to sign Roosevelt Colvin in free agency to play in front of Howard for the first year and give us a pass rushing option opposite Geathers.

Defensive Starters
3-4

DE Laws or Moore, Fanene
DT/NT Dorsey,/Peko
OLB Geathers, Colvin
ILB Brooks, Thurman
CB Joseph, Hall
SS Ndukwe
FS Madieu Williams

Pretty good draft.

Not sure if Nick Hayden will still be around that late though. And I would try to get an O-Lineman (Preferably a Center) instead of drafting two CB's.

Also I'm not sure we'll get a 5th round comp pick. More likely a 6th and/or 7th for KK and Shaun. But that's not based on any facts, just pure guessing...

I agree with Jom, pretty good draft.

Only knock I have on it is that I'm not sure about Ellis hanging around till #9. :(

I would be more than satisfied with either Cottam or Keller at TE, both have impressed me.

If we were switching to 34 we wouldn't take Dorsey. He doesn't have the first step and strength to do so. He's a 43 UT straight up. But otherwise very good. If we get one of the two DTs I'd be stoked.

I still like Santucci as a backup center even if Stepanovich leaves. If Mike McGlynn lasts until the 5th I'd definitely consider him. Another possibility would be:

Chad Rinehart, Northern Iowa
Height: 6-5. Weight: 317.
Projected 40 Time: 5.08.
Combine 40 Time: 5.41.
Arm: 33 1/8. Benchx225: .
Projected Round: 4.
The best offensive lineman you haven't heard of in this draft class. Chad Rinehart, an incredible run-blocker, can play tackle and guard.

If he last till the 5th.

I think we'll play a high-brid this year and I think Dorsey could play 3-4 end as well as 4-3 tackle.
