I managed to land Houshmandzadeh in the 3rd round in a 16 team league only because I thought there was value there. I had an opportunity to pick up Carson or Chad in the second but went with Edgerrin James as my #2 back. Could have taken Rudi with the 10th pick but opted for Travis Henry. This league is for monetary gain so I decided to leave my homerism at home. (pun intended) If the league is for fun I'll load up on Bengals though. I'll be in a bit of a quandary though when Arizona comes to Cincy. Of course I'll take a Bengals win over my fantasy game any day.

I will admit to targeting Bengals players in my fantasy draft. But only in appropriate rounds, and no more than 2 (learned that lesson last year on the bye week). And I don't play for money.
This year I got Carson and Shayne.

I have Carson and Chad (and LT!) - The problem is that if you take too many of your favorites you end up being in trouble during their bye week.

I usually try to limit to one Bengal, but dang Rudi was available in the 10th round. Most cases I find it best to spread it out a bit and use strength of schedule to base my picks. I did pick up TJ in the 4th round after I snagged Marc Bulger with two previous rb's and one top receiver (Marvin Harrison).

Rudi in the 10th??? That is nuts. He's a Top 8 RB in most fantasy rankings.

Rudi in the 10th round? Are there like 2 teams in your league? LOL, you must mean with the 10th pick.

In three drafts I only have one Bengals, Carson Palmer. No homerism from me.

So far this year, I have only drafted TJ and the Bengals D, as my backup to Chicago. Cincy plays Buffalo on Chicago's bye week. I took TJ with the 24th pick overall, but that's because it's a point/rec league, and he's a top 10 pick in that type of league. I took the Bengals' defense a little early (round 12), but the homerism was rampant. Seriously, Tab Perry and Chris Henry were already gone. The Bengals D was the only draftable Bengal left, I knew that I wanted them for the bye, and some said "Oh crap, I don't have a Bengal" as it was moving my way.
Last year in one of my 3 leagues, I took Carson Palmer with the 4th overall pick. I made it to the Superbowl in that league despite what looks like homerism.

Never. I rarely end up with a Bengal on my roster...not by choice, that just seems to be how the picks break down. Now, this year I did pick T.J. in the 4th round over guys like Javon Walker, Donald Driver and Plaxico Burress...but it's simply because I think he will perform and put up better numbers than those guys..............................who am I kidding, he is good and darn it he's a BENGAL!!!!!!!!!! WHO-DEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
