In my league we start the following, this is a 10 person league.

1 qb
2 rb
3 wr
1 k
1 te
1 defense
1 utiility guy (this is the w/r spot and can be either a rb or wr)

my current starting roster is as follows

QB: Matt Leinart
RB1: Frank Gore
RB2: Reggie Bush
WR1: Terrell Owens
WR2: TJ Houshmanzadeh
WR3: ????? (seeking advice on this one, see bench list)
TE: Jason Witten
Defense: Jacksonville
Kicker: haven't picked one up yet in FA, i don't draft kickers
Utility player (W/R): ?????

On my bench:
Jay Culter
Thomas Jones
Deion Branch
Donte Stallworth
Jerious Norwood
Joe Horn
Michael Turner
Ron Dayne

Ok so who on the bench would you use to fill the WR3 spot?

Also, who on the bench would you use to fill the Utility guy (W/R) spot, this can be either a RB or a WR?

Would you think about starting Jay Culter over Matt Leinart? My thoughts on Leinart are that since Fitzgerald and Boldin are both top receivers in fantasy that someone has to throw those balls to them.

Thoughts?

For the 3rd WR slot I would go with either Deion Branch
Donte Stallworth (Slight edge to Branch). Choose whichever reciever has the better matchup that day.

So when the Seahawks play the Bengals make sure to start Branch...:what:

Joe Horn I wouldn't start until Atlanta proves it can do something in the passing game. Over the course of the season I expect Branch to have the best season out of those three receivers.

As for the utility player, I would start Thomas Jones. Especially if the scoring for your league is the standard scoring system that most leagues use which favor RB's. I know he has some injury issues but if he's scheduled to start week one, I would play him.

And good decision on the QB situation. I would start Leinart as well...

I'd go with Branch hands down. He's Hasselbeck's #1 now that Jackson is gone. Brady spreads the ball around too much, plus Stallworth isn't a redzone threat (Maroney, Watson & Moss will get the TD's). His numbers will be inconsistent at best.

I'd drop Horn and pickup someone with more upside along the lines of Vincent Jackson.

Leinhert will be the better Fantasy QB. Cutler is great but I think Shanny will handcuff him as game manager while Henry shoulders the team. Strength of schedule heavily favors Arizona as well.

Your flex player should be Norwood. Especially if your league is PPR.

QB: Leinart/Cutler is pretty much a toss up. The Cards are more likely to be playing from behind and the Broncos run the ball better, so I'd start Leinart as well.

WR3: I'd go with Branch. He seems to have the most upside as a #1 receiver with an established QB and balanced offense. Can't say the same for Horn or Stallworth.

Utility: Kind of tough. My first instinct is Norwood since he's a running back and Dunn's age/injuries may open up more opportunities. Of course, with the Falcons likely playing from behind quite often, Horn might be the better start here. Stallworth has potential any given week, but Brady's tendency to spread the wealth makes him tough to go with on a regular basis.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I was leaning towards Branch but just really wanted a second (or 3rd) opinion on it before i made the call.

I would go with Dion Branch for 13 out 16 games;in fact I currently have him active next to Fitzgerald in my line up.As for the Flex player I would go for Micheal Turner if he has a good match up because he will probably be used more this year.(kinda like the Marion Barber deal: well sorta) The top bet on flex would be Jerious Norwood.

The Leinart situation could be explosive with that easy passing schedule to come with only Baltimore, seattle,Pitt, standing in his way.Jay Cutler has a pretty tough schedule, but he should do well in most of them.(GB,det,KC,Tenn,Hou,buffalo maybe)
