This mock draft is based on the Bengals getting Utect and sticking with a 4-3 base with 3-4 plays also being used

1st Round- Dorsey/ Ellis: DT
-Get one of the two top DT. We only need to trade up for one of these two if one of them is taken in the top four. If this happens we trade number 9 and our third rounder to move up. I honestly think we won't need to trade up. Either of the two would create a huge force in the middle for the Bengals defense
2nd Round- Marcus Howard: OLB
-Really fast OLB, I think he will be a great player, he already is a great althlete (4.4 fourty and 27 bench press reps). With Howard the Bengals starting LB's should be Howard OLB, Odell MLB, and Brooks OLB.
3rd Round- Matt Forte/ Kevin Smith: RB
-We grab Forte if he falls to here, if not then we grab Smith. Both are the type of runners the Bengals want. Big, hard-nosed guys who can run the clock and keep the opposing defense on the field. Either of these players will be able to do this.
3rd Round (comp.)- Ahtyba Rubin: NT
-Big DT who can take up blockers and allow for our LB's to run around freely. He could play NT in some of the 3-4 sets. He is big enough to take up blockers but athletic enough to still make plays
4th Round- Chevis Jackson: CB
-Physical corner who can play the nickel once Deltha leaves next year. Will be a good special teamer and I think he could eventually be a very good DB
5th Round- Dorien Bryant: WR/KR
-Fat WR who can catch some balls. Also did kick returns at Purdue and will provide competition for Glenn Holt at that position
6th Round- Tommy Blake: DE
-Guy who is falling because he doesn't play up to his potential. He has the physical tools but just needs to put it all together. He could become a very solid DE if he plays to his potential
6th Round (comp.)- Fernando Velasco: C
-Big OL 6-3 318. Could be taught how to become a very good center. His size is a major plus for him
7th Round (comp.)- Rodrick Johnson: ILB
-Big MLB who can play on special teams and provdide depth at the position
7th Round (comp.)- Tony Joiner: S
-Provide depth and the postition and be a dependable special teamer

Undrafted Signees-
Jonal St. Dic: DE
-Led the nation in forced fumbles, could be a huge boost in the pass rushing category which we were miserable in
Haruki Nakamura: S
Angelo Craig: DE
Any others?

Only thing I have to say is what I usually say, I don't think we need a LB as high as 2nd round. Also don't think Ahtyba will fall to the third round comp. So taking that into consideration I would go.
2. Chris Johnson RB
3. Ahtyba Rubin NT/DT
3(comp). Whatever LB you like who has fallen to here.
Also think that S is more of a need for us than CB, maybe take a S at 4 and take a CB later, Jack Ikegwuonu is a good late round pickup if were looking for a CB who can replace O'Neal next year.
Blake I doubt we will pick because we seem to be wanting to stay away from trouble guys, replace him with Jacob Hester RB/FB and I'd be happy. Well except maybe at 6th comp, I think we need an O-lineman but not neccessarily a center (changing my position on this), don't know Velasco so maybe he is a pure center and could be taught to play elsewhere? I'd also prefer Dexter Jackson over Dorien Bryant but that's just me.

I wouldn't mind this, and I think we could do this and get Shawn Crable

I like Forte and Rubin a lot as well as Ellis/Dorsey obviously, but I'm not sure about the rest. I think Howard was already a LB at Georgia and was moved to DE cuz he didn't pan out so I don't like him as a project that early. I also want nothing to do with Tommy Blake because we'd have to make exceptions for him due to his psychological disorders (he actually has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder I believe).
