If the nurses I work with can stretch "Nurses day" into "Nurses week"...then I'm using my powers as a writer (?) and stretching Memorial day into Memorial week.
After all.....who deserves more credit than our brave men and women that have died for this country?
So, if you have a friend, relative, or just know someone that died in service to this great country - this is YOUR chance to brag on them, and salute our fallen.

I sadly know lots of them, however i know that they gave their lives for something they believe in. I will always give them a moment of silence and rememberence for all of my days. They are gone but not forgotten. To anyone on the boards that was in or is still in, thank you for your service from one vet to another.

I was in D.C. over the weekend. I went to the wall. The place was crowded with biker vets from all over. Thousands of bikers. I was also in the USAF during the Gulf war and I spent a few months in the sand box in 92'. I feel for them over there now. My Brother is in the army and has had 2 tours already. Missed alot of time with his young son for it. People give up alot for their country and so many people dont even realize it. To all that served. Thank you.

I served in the first Gulf War as well. I was at sea, though.
I think part of the problem with this war now, is that people may have expected it to be like the last one. The one I was in was the exception rather than the rule. War is bloody, war is deadly - that's what gives diplomacy it's teeth. People try so hard for peace at the tables because the alternative is to start killing each other.
So...from a vet...to all the vets out there - living and dead - thank you for your service.
