I have changed a few of my thoughts over the last few days. Mainly dealing with the signing of Roberston(which probably won't happen now), and the issues with Chad.

My thoughts are that unless Ellis/Dorsey are available at 9 we make a move to trade our first round pick to the middle to late part of the first round and pick up a 2nd rounder. Then we get another packaged trade for a top 2nd pick for our 4th round pick.

1 - Quenton Groves - DE/OLB He would be great for our 4-3 Hybrid. He is probably a better project as the hybrid players than Pollack was coming out of college. Other options include Derrick Harvey who apparently impressed on his pro day.

2a - Devin Thomas - WR This has to be insurance for Palmer and the rest of the offense. Devin Thomas has as much upside as any other WR in the draft. If Johnson refuses to play he can probable play the #2 role and move TJ to #1. If TJ doesn't re-sign next year, He steps into that role.

2b - Chris Johnson - RB I've been on this guys bandwagon for a while now. Let Perry/Watson/Rudi carry the load with Irons/Dorsey rotating in and let this guy get about 10 snaps a game. His main focus will be the return game which he would be fantastic at.

3a - Ahtyba Rubin - DT I know this is later than anyone wants to get a DT, but I think we will improve with a big run stuffer. The three this year are Rubin, Bryant and Okam. If we can grab Rubin here, it will help greatly.

3b - Demarrio Pressley - DT Along with Rubin, we should grab another guy that will work at the UT postition and get penetration.

5 - Kellen Davis - TE Yes we already grabbed a TE with Utecht, but I don't think he is the complete answer. Davis will probably need a year to polish his skills and then share the load later.

6a - Jeremy Leman - ILBWe need depth at ILB more than anything. We have pass rushers and OLB, but this guy would help solidify the LB's and be the leader on ST's that we need.

6b - Jalen Parmele - RB Yes another RB. This guy though could be put in for our short yardage back for Rudi or Watson. Also provides insurance for Perry and Irons' injuries. Maybe sneak him onto the PS.

7 - Zach Bowman - CB Depth and if he gets through his past injuries could be an excellent nickle man.

There are sure to be a lot of agrue. Yes I got an early reciever. What happens though if Chad doesn't play and TJ or Henry get hurt. Then we're screwed. Then 2 RB's. Well our running game ****** last year, Johnson could be a game changing returner, and used like Reggie Bush was. Parmele is more like a Ryan Grant that could be on the PS and then step it up and be great if needed. I didn't grab an O-Lineman. I think Willie and Levi will step it up this year. And we have some great depth here other than at C with Stepanovich gone.

For the D - I can also see some arguements mainly because the weakest part - DT - didn't get help until the third. But I think Rubin is the best NT prospect out there. He would have a great impact. Pressley may be used more for rotation, but he could be good in a couple years as well and he can't be much worse than Thorton. And at LB, Groves and Leman are upgrades to Johnson and Miller.

I can't see us waiting until the 3rd to take a DT. Neither Rubin or Pressley would be starter caliber in their first year, and we need a guy that is. If we trade back we have to either take Balmer in the 1st or spend a 2nd rounder on one.

Also you RB assessment looks like you are saying we should carry too many TBs. We normally only carry 3 but with the questions marks and injuries I could see 4 this year and going light elsewhere. But stays and who goes? I also don't think we invest two picks at RB.
