Evans by Decision. I think his TD defense is good enough to stop Ortiz and I think his stand up is better than Ortiz's. but if Ortiz can get him down, he could win by TKO.

After Tito's lackluster past few two fights (Ken is not included in those) , I believe that he will come out to destroy Evans. He won what many thought was a bad decision against Forrest and then he gets finished by Chuck again!!
Tito needs a big win and if he were to lose to Evans I think he would be finished in the UFC.
I don't think Evans has better stand up than Tito, just because Evans KOed Salmon doesn't mean he has great stand up. When has he ever shown great stand up? Tito went three rounds with Chuck so I give the stand up to him. Wrestling? I think the edge here goes to Tito as well. I could be wrong but I think he has better defense and a much more solid takedown.
Just so everyone knows, I hate both of these guys, if it was possible for them both to lose..well that would make my day. Since it isn't I guess I am hoping Tito wins so he can give Rashad a loss and shut him up and then we can get set for Rampage vs. Tito IF he can beat Dan. Although they said they would never fight one another, I think Joe Silva should say tough..you wanna continue fighting in the UFC then you fight one another.

I think titio's stand up is weak because he has no offense. Forrest dominated him on the feet. Sure, he lasted 3 rounds with chuck, but he had no attack. So tito's stand up defense might be some of the best in the biz, but is offense is lacking. if dana white isn't afraid to stand up (albeit with reg. boxing gloves), then his stand up can't be that fearsome.
by the way, when I met rashad in columbus, he started chanting the "Who Dey" chant, when he saw that we were from cincinanti. That alone gives him my vote.

Tito Ortiz as a fighter and a coach I respect alot.
Rashad Evans, not so much.
Rashad Evans has really fought nobody with the reputation of a Tito Ortiz.
When you watch the fight between Rashad Evans and Salmon, Salmon won the first round.
I say Tito will win via (T)KO strikes in the 2nd round. I think Tito is going to come out with a fire and he just completely owns Evans. I might be a little bias here since I do like Tito Ortiz but Rashad Evans to me the only accomplishment I have seen of him was when he knocked out Jason Lambert.

Tito will win by KO but who knows I just hope it last a little longer than Liddel's out of shaped loss.

What exactly do you mean by "out of shaped"?

People were saying Chuck did too much partying before the fight with Rampage. A lot of people thought when chuck came out against Rampage he looked tired and out of shape.
To me, I think Chuck looked fine, I think Chuck just looked nervous because I think he did not want to get beat like he did in pride and over anlyized everything, which caused him to lose.

Yeah, people were reporting that he was out partying the week before the fight. While it is true that he was out at the clubs during that week, he wasn't partying. He wasn't drinking alcohol or using any other drugs. He's done the same thing for every fight. It's his way of getting his body ready to peak at night time, just like it has to on fight night. There have been other fighters to come to his defense and say that they do the same thing, but since they aren't as recognizable as Chuck (and really, who is?), they don't get anything said about them.
With that said, I still hink Chuck looked bloated. He always has a little "beer gut", but it looked a little bigger than in the past. I'm not sying it mattereed much, because he didn't have enough time for endurance to be a factor in the loss. He got caught, plain and simple.

Speaking of 72, hopefully Dustin Hazelett puts on a great fight and they show this fight due to the other matches being weak. Dustin is a Jorge Gurgel fighter and is a Brown belt in BJJ. He also has very solid strikes. Should be a good fight for him and hopefully he can chalk up his second UFC win in a row.

If you all really want to see why Tito Ortiz will win go to the Ultimate Fighter thread on the second page under UFC Humor, watch the video.
Also I got my Punishment Athletetic Stuff so I am pretty pumped about the next Ortiz Fight.
Dustin is a great kid and a good fighter, I think he walks away with a Round 1 (T)KO.
Withouth being bias Turk (trust me I am trying to do the same)[:P]
Who walks away the winner next Saturday, Franklin or Okami?
EVAN TANNER RETURNS SEPT!!!!!
Bring on The Athlete (thats a great match-up if it happens!)

alright, all bias aside, I think this is a tough match for Rich. Okami his a big guy, very similar to Rich in that they are heavy for that division. Rich usually out muscles his opponents in the clinch and against the cage and that is Okami's strong point as well. I am not sure how I see this fight going. I think Rich really needs to use the stand up and try and stay away from Okami as much as possible. Use the punches to keep him at bay while looking for a good solid head kick.
If the fight goes to the ground I think Okami is the better wrestler but Rich will have the better BJJ. Could end up being a wash on the ground. I see this fight going down in numerous ways, Okami works and ends up getting a decision, Rich wins by sub or TKO.
Okami beat Singer and Starnes with punches. I think Rich has better BJJ than Singer so he will defend much better. He beat Swick via judges scorecard. Swick has powerfull hands but I believe Rich has better pinpoint striking than him.
My line on the fight is Franklin by submission (armbar) in the second round.

I agree this is a VERY hard fight, I say that this fight is harder than Anderson Silva, because Okami is a better rounded fighter than Silva. I see Okami as a Lyoto Machida copycat, and Franklin in his early stages lost to Machida via knockout.
But I think Franklin has progressed heavily since that fight and I think that this fight might be one of the leading canidates for Fight of the Year, I don't see this ending in a submission or a knockout, I see this going the distance and Rich Franklin winning a unamious decision, even though Okami is a Machida copy-cat and is a great fighter, but I think Franklin wins via unamious.
Going to be a great fight.
