ESPN is reporting the possibility of a trade involving Kobe Bryant. He would go from the Lakers to the Pacers for Jermaine O'Neal. Thoughts?

Jemaine O'Neal and what else? Doesn't sound like an even trade...
My guess is that Kobe stays with the Lakers.

What i heard was the Lakers are going to trade for O 'Neal, but not for Kobe...to have him with Kobe so he stops whining like a little girl

This is taken way out of context.
Reports were that The Lakers were interested in trading for Jermaine O'Neal, possibly LaMar Odom and Smush Parker for O'Neal.

NOT KOBE FOR JERMAINE.

All I have to say to that is Lebron does not have the team surrounding him that Kobe does and he has no problem winning....Kobe is a whiner though he is an impressive offensive player he needs to get his teamates more involved!!!

Lebron plays in the EASTERN conference. I'm sure if the Cav's meet up with the Sun's in the first round they wouldn't be in the playoffs still. To be able to compete in the West you need a supporting cast...

Detroit is just as good as Phoenix, Arizona and Dallas, and Cleveland is handling them just fine...For the 2nd year in a row, mind you.

I dont know what NBA you are watching but Lebron has a way better cast them Kobe does, who does Kobe have? Lets see Lamr Odem, and Smush Parker and oo yea that white guy that is it. Lebron has to centers that are way better then todays Odem maybe not 5 years ago Odem, but todays Odem. Plus Hughes and Gibson are a very good cast to have around, Kobe has nobody. Correct me if I am wrong but Think about it first.

Well thinking about it...
It's Odom not Odem, he's a point forward, not a center, and 5 years ago he was pretty much the same player that he is today. Some would argue that he is better today then he was 5 years ago. He is a consistent double-double guy now, which is more than you could say for him 5 years ago.
Now let's move on to other things...
Cleveland has surrounded LeBron with much better pieces than the Lakers have with Kobe. Cleveland has a solid big man rotation that they can use with Ilgauskus, Gooden, and Varejao. They have great versatility throughout their line up as well. Hughes, Pavlovic, and LeBron can all play both positions in the backcourt as well as small forward if needed. Add in great 3 point shooters like Jones and Marshall, and veteran leadership like Eric Snow and David Wesley and you have a pretty good team. Throw in a rookie playing lights out, out of no where, and you have an NBA finals run.
Los Angeles on the other hand is a team in shambles. Their frontcourt consisting of Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown, Vlad Radmanovic, and the great Chris Mihm doesn't match up well with any teams bigs, let alone Cleveland. Moving on to their backcourt, they have what exactly? Kobe and who? Smush Parker? The same Smush that turns it over about as much as he gives it out? He averages about 2 turnovers a game, same goes for assists. But looking past good ole Smush, what else does L.A. have? Honestly, nothing. They have no other legitimate NBA guard on their roster. In their favor they do have a couple of pretty solid 3's in Luke Walton and Lamar Odom. Niether is a world beater, but having a do it all point forward on your team is never a bad thing to have.
