they will rebound and be alright in the following weeks but man o man what a bad showing for my wolverines. But AP state played a great game and deserved to win, not going to take it away from them. Its just very disheartning.

the thing that i love the most about it is no other ranked team has been beaten by a 1aa team. this is the biggest upset in college football in a long time if not ever.

Well that is just what they got!!

I was at Frickers watching the Buckeyes play a "preseason" game, rotating many people in and out. We started watching the other game on a smaller TV right next to the big screen when we saw App St. go tie up the game at 14. So FF to the end...here we are watching App try to lose the game and then they do what most in this bar thought was impossile...they marched down the field to take the lead with very little time left. Then that team from north gets the ball and THEY do the impossible and get with filed goal range with 6 ticks left. By this time the entire place is going crazy and you could feel the tension. I look around and see many people with their heads down...so I put my hands together and look up at the sky...I guess I was praying for the perfect start to Big Ten football.

They line up and, the ball is snapped the kicker puts his leg into it and OH MY GOD IT IS BLOCKED!!

The place erupted into cheers, screams and yells...grown men were jumping up and down and hugging one another...hugging complete strangers! You would have thought that we had just won the National title if you walked in and didn't know any better. You would have never thought that we just watched some team get beat by App St.

Just amazing!!

I am online right now looking for an App St. jersey!! They are officially my second favorite football team in college right now!!

Can you imagine what Michigan fans and players are going through right now? HA HA HA HA Their taking the heat. I think Loyd Carr is getting fired real soon. It's funny how college football works. You can have 4 winning seasons in a row, be in the top 25 almost every year, but if you lose to your rival every year boom your gone. Carr can't figure out how to beat OSU and now this happens to his team. He's as good as gone. HAHAHAHA.

Probably. Ann Arbor is in shambles. It's even funnier because it happend at Michigan. Thats one of the greatest things I've ever seen. It's even bigger than UC upseting Rutgers last year. That quarterback looked good from AS. He was doing it all against Michigans D. They didn't know how to stop him.

I think that is the biggest upset that I have ever seen in my 35 years of being alive and watching college football!

I thought their QB did a great job. You could tell that near the end the pressure was starting to get to him and the rest of the team a bit but they hung in there and pulled it off!

If I could find an App St. jersey I would buy one but I am having a hard time trying to find one...they are now my second fav team and I will root for them for the rest of my life!

I heard that most of the top 1AA teams can win the Sun Belt conference, and ASU won the 1AA championship. But that is the Sun Belt, a top 25 team should not loose to them. I heard about that game on the radio in the car and almost crashed!!! Seriously I had to pull over. Man that was great, especially since I know two Michigan fans.

I really don't understand how you people can hate another school so much, over a game. It certainly isn't like that in Michigan. In fact, OSU fans are one of the few fan bases that I have experienced that can **** the fun right out of a rivalry, by taking everything too far and acting totally classless. Not saying that there aren't some Michigan fans that do it, just saying that OSU is notorious among all of NCAA football for the lack of class shown by their fans. It amazes me to see people behave in such a way.

This loss does just make Michigan look bad, but it also makes OSU, and the rest of the big ten look bad as well. If Michigan beats OSU this year then you lost to a team that lost to a div I-AA school. The fact is that the Big Ten has a proud football tradition that hasn't looked so proud recently. OSU was supposed to be a hands down number 1 team, and they got annihilated by Florida. Do you know where I was when they happend? I was watching the game rooting for OSU, a fellow Big Ten team. I did not ridicule a single Ohio state fan about the outcome of that game despite being a Michigan fan in Cincinnati, and having to hear crap from them all year long. Step back, look and the big picture, and look at your behavior. I just do not see why OSU and Michigan cannot have a friendly rivalry, that doesn't result in posts like "MICHIGAN *****".

Go ahead and flame away... I've been living here for a while now so I'm pretty used to it.

I know some people that drove up to Ann Arbor for a Michigan/Ohio State game and they were treated to having their tires slashed and windows busted.

Not all Ohio State fans act like hooligans, it is just as rampant with other teams as well.

You get the brunt of it, and feel the way you do, because you are a Michigan fan living in Ohio.

By the way, I'll have you know, I rooted for Michigan against USC.

Rivalries get heated and we aren't the only one that takes it to extremes. In fact, I think it's kind of ludicrous for you to come on here and make the assertion that Ohio State fans are less classy than Michigan fans. I dearly hope that's not the way you talk when you're offline..otherwise I think we just nailed why you aren't appreciated by Buckeye fans.

It's always been the same since the 70's, we have the legendary nickname for the division "Big two, little Eight" even in the times of Woody. Since the cut backs in amount of scholarships for big time colleges has decreased a lot of talent has went over to smaller colleges and you can see it for sure. In less than ten years time, I have noticed that once smaller teams who got man handled in the 90's are becoming much bigger now. So any given Saturday;and that's why you focus on one game at a time.

OSU fans are universally regarded as being less classy that most college football fans. True or not, that is the perception, and it isn't just from Michigan fans. You guys are the UK basketball fans of college football (and that is coming from my friend who IS AN OSU FAN, AND ALUMNI!).

Then again, a kid wearing an elder (rival high school) shirt got punched in the face

National titles in football
Men’s Sports CHI:2 ILL:5 IND: 0 IOWA:4 MICH : 15 MSU:4 MINN:6 NU:0 OSU:14 PSU: 0 PUR: 1 WIS:1

That is a total of 52 national titles just for the Big Ten schools in football. The Big Ten holds 187 national titles in mens sports. So tell me how that is overrated????

you know, i keep bringing this up, and SEC fans always ignore it. in head to head play in the bowl games, the Big 10 won 2 of 3 bowl games against the SEC. Yes, we lost the NC, but won 2 of 3 games, so I fail to see how the sec is supposed to be so much better.

Ha....this makes OSU & the rest of the Big 10 look bad huh? Only to the nimrod "football fans" that truely dont understand the game. I am so sick, and I am not the only one cause it was a topic on national sports radio the other day, of other people trying to cash in on other schools wins or losses. People ALWAYS try to generalize the whole conference by the outcome of a game by a single team. On the radio they used the example of last year how Tenn whipped Cal & all the SEC fans were going on about how the SEC is sooo much better than the pac 10 aside from USC. Well look what happened this yr. Cal smacked Tenn pretty good. Also how the SEC fans went on about how great the conference is becase Florida beat OSU. These wins mean nothing except on a certain day at a given time, one team played better than the other. For the nat championship game, Florida was better prepared & had a bigger chip on their shoulder that day. If ifs ands & buts counted for anything, taking nothing away from FL, I'd still take OSU over FL if it was a series. As for this past Sat, App St. played a better game than Mich. That's it.

So according to you because u of m was not properly prepared, underestimated a AA school & didnt play a good game, now OSU, Penn St., Wisc & everybody else stinks. Good one.

BTW, every school or rivalry has fans that take things too far. Have you ever been to a game in the south? Have you ever been in the middle of an Alabama & Aubrun argument? Those people are as crazy as any up here and when you are a u of m fan in Ohio, you better have thick skin. Get used to it.

Hear hear, I'm giving you some rep points for that my man, great post!

Boy I thought that was sweet. I like the Buckeyes somewhat, since I am a lifelong Ohio resident, but I'm not an OSU freak. I'm more for the RedHawks, since I earned a degree from Miami University five years ago. But I absolutely cannot stand Michigan. Seeing them lose makes me smile (Same for when Ohio Univerisity, Miami's bitter rival, gets beat). But this one has me all riled up! The Wolverines are so busted. But even that said, Ohio State needs to learn a lesson from Michigan's mistake. How? By being prepared for every opponent. Anyone can win or lose on any given day. So my point there is this: Ohio State I think should be fine, but they had BEST be careful or else.

Yeah but I don't think this was an upset. Everyone knows that Oregon has a strong team this year.

Michigan's defense is soft. I didnt watch the whole game but I don't know how many times I saw their secondary get burned for long bombs. Not to mention the statue of liberty play making them look silly (twice). With this D, u of m is gonna have to put up serious points to get a W & now I am not sure the O is capable of doing that.

Oh well, they should get a W this week against that mighty 0 win fighting irish. Mich obviously doesnt have the horses on D to replace their lost 7 starters like OSU did replacing 9 last yr.

I'm here to tell you Michigan fans are just as bad as the Ohio State fans.

I agree. I personally said that Michigan would lose to Oregon. On College Gameday Live, Lou Holtz gave them an awesome pep talk, however I knew they'd have a hangover from ****.

It should be fun to watch ND vs Michigan, if only to see them fight for mediocrity.
