Ok, when I first went into this movie I was feeling quite optomistic about it, but yet my girlfriend dragged me to see this movie because I dragged her to go see Bug, which happens to be the leading candidate for "Worst Movie of the Year for 2007", but she did me a favor and we actually got to catch a pretty darn movie.
If you have ever seen 40 Year Old Virgin, and you really enjoyed that then you should easily enjoy this film. If you have seen the 40 year old version the unrated version, and you thought at some points it just seems to drag on and on and on and you feel like you have watched the movie forever, well at some points during Knocked Up you get the same feeling, but it all has to happen so you can get an understand of the characters and the situation.
First off the acting itself if fantastic, with a not so well known cast (exception for Leslie Mann, and Kathrine Hiegel) the roles are filled PERFECTLY by the actors and actresses. Seth Rogen was a very funny lead actor with a great supporting actor of Paul Rudd.
This is a perfect movie to bring a girl to, because the girls can feel for what the girls are going through in the movies and the guys know exactly what the guy actors feel in the movie. It was very realistic acting and it makes you feel like you are in their shoes.
This has heart, acting, great plot, comedy everything you really need in a movie.
The only thing I can knock it on is the overdrawn lengthy scenes that you think could have possibly been cut from the movie, but yet you won't complain so much because it was good.
So Overall, would I see this movie again?
Yes.
Do yourself a favor this weekend, if you want to catch a good movie, take some advice and go see Knocked Up. Look out for one of the funniest one-liner joke about Meg Ryan, I still laugh when I think about it.
OVERALL GRADE- A
Untill next time.
