It isn't just ESPN giving us props on this draft class our rivals have noticed as well. A friend of mine just told me alot of the Browns fans on the website are worried about all the talent we just picked up at WR, and considering they were unable to get any secondary help since the CB market was picked clean I don't blame them (though I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about that monster D-line they're assembling). They had their hopes up on Chad and Chris royally handicapping us.
Guys I know alot of you believe we took Simpson early, I was mad at first too, until I did some research. Fact is though this guy is a total stud, worthy of our 2nd pick, and if other teams had any brains at all (which most do), there's no way he would have been available when we picked in the 3rd. Just because ESPN and Kiper had him going 4th or 5th doesn't mean thats what was going to happen. Look how crazy this draft was, I almost spit out my beer when SD traded up to get Hester in the 3rd!!!! I thought he was supposed to go in the 6th or later and they traded up for him! No way a guy with Simpson's skills would have fallen much farther. So keep your chins up and believe it or not this is a pretty solid draft class. Well except the TE pick, still scratching my head on that one.

I totally agree with your assessment but we drafted TE because he will accommodate Kelly in blocking.

But his scouting report said he's not physical at all? Oh well I'm not gonna complain, we had ten picks anyway and did pretty well overall.

Every team should be worried about us now, especially the Brown Clowns!

Thats because everybody saw Marvins face when he was introducing everybody. The man only had a couple of questions by taking a low character guy which the jury isn't out on yet. But the way Marvin was standing up there confident in everything he was doing and that serious get down to business attitude is catching on. I am starting to like this new Marvin I am seeing this year. He has me believing in him again. He will have the locker him believing in him too. I heard reports that he gained a lot of players respect for the way he has handled the Chad Johnson circus this year. This looks like the Marvin that lead this team to a divisional championship and call me crazy if I believe we are doing it again, but I am telling everyone right here and now that we are winning the division. I think everybody knows it once Chad comes back and is happy to be with the team again even though he isn't making what he wants to make money wise.

On the Simpson pick.. The thing that I don't like about him is, he has not been tested against great competition.
From all the highlights you see of him the game is played at a slower pace then the big colleges play at.
This is what makes the jump from AA-1 to NFL so hard I think.. And I would not expect great things from him right out of the gate.
