:tiger:The bengals got a exact 6 rookie wide recievers and about 5 veteran (or more) wide revievers that's a total of 11 wide revievers that's too many on a team Chad could
be leaving June 1st.

They already said they weren't realeasing Chad, but I'd be happy if you were right.

I guess its a plausable possibility, but just because we signed that many recievers doesn't mean they will all make the team. I think we signed them just in case Chad were to sit out the season so Marvin can put his foot down and not have to beg Chad to come back if you will. With the being said though, everything is still up in the air as of now. I think that picking up all of those recievers will prove to be valuable when we look back on it though because we are bound to get some good ones out of it.

Agreed. It's all about creating competition. The ones that will make the roster will be the players who truly want to be on the team. Additionally, they'll have to prove they want to and can contribute to special teams.

Believe me, Chad will not be released. He will either be a Bengal or part of a blockbuster trade.

Just because we have so many signed now does not mean anything.
Except we lost Henry and Tab Perry, plus Chatman hasn't panned out for us.
IF Chad holds out (not betting on it), we need five other receivers (TJ is here this year).
Probably will be able to stash 1-2 on the practice squad.
Good to see as many as we can get to try out.

If I was Mike Brown I wouldn't trade him & I wouldn't release him either. If Chad doesn't want to play for us them let him set out a year & not collect a play check from the Bengals then he can become a free agent a go where he wants to go. I am about tired of the big cry baby myself.Play or shut up & quit whining T.O. I am sorry I mean Chad Johnson. We have drafted some talented WR's & signed some we will be Ok if you decide not to play..:tiger:

Chad will be a complete idiot to sit out the season and lose 6 million,If he does that the bengals win, And if we trade him, it will certainly involve a number one pick so either way we win. The damage he has done is almost irrepairable, unless he openly apologizes to the team, Palmer , Lewis,M Brown, fans ect.(Its pretty low to say the entire team is crap) , but bengaldom beware a Chad Johnson is not easily replaced, I dont care how many draft picks we select a player like Chad comes every Blue moon, So arrogance should not be the place of Marvin Lewis or the bengals, If we plan on winning a superbowl anytime soon were going to need Chad Johnson. The bottom line if we trade Chad, Superbowl 2 to 3 years out.

Chad is under contract until 2012, so he's not going to be able to sit out this year and then become a free agent the next year.

Are you kidding me? Players like Chad only come along once in a blue moon? :rotf: Sure, this guy puts up good numbers every year, but he doesn't put up the numbers when they truly count, in big games. He pads his stats every year against poor teams, but when he plays good defenses he completely disappears. And no, we don't need Chad and his "me first" attitude, and he IS easily replaced. I'm hoping that we get rid of this idiot after June 1st, then this team can move on and finally go places.

Astute observation...
is there a third choice?

I am not sure but I though that if you sat out a year that his contract would become void & he could get to go where ever.:tiger:

He didn't say releasing he said leaving June 1st. That could also mean via trade.

I am not sure but I though that if you sat out a year that his contract would become void & he could get to go where ever.:tiger:nope, if you sit out a year, your contract is frozen. that means the bengals then have his rights through the 2012 season instead of the 2011 season. If he sits out 3 years, the bengals have his rights through the 2014 season
It's the same with Odell, becuase he didn't play last year his contract then was frozen and the bengals get him for another year etc.

How is Chad going to get into the Football Hall Of Fame if the Bengals don't trade him & he doesn't play,by crying his way in? I didn't know that they voted Crybabies into the Football Hall Of Fame.

Remember when Chad was wearing the "Future Hall Of Famer" Jacket. I expect him to start against Baltimore. Ed Reed and Chris McCallister will be humiliated. And, Chad will be back on top, and all this negative Chad talk will be forgotten.
