ya know, i love michigan but their defense is really really hurtin this year. At least it is was to a good team this week, and we had people get injured. If they manage to lose to notre dame next week i will be really ticked.

very true but it certainly didnt help them any. Mike Hart is the only consistent one on the team right now. well, he and Jake Long.

I know that ND and Michigan both must be looking forward to this game. They each have to see the other as weak and are hoping to get their first win.

I knew Michigan would not win this game. Oregon is a tough team and most people knew that they had a ton of talent this year.

What I love is how everyone's arguement is that the Big Ten ***** because Michigan is losing. We still have Illinois and Purdue surprising people. Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin (a win is a win) still look pretty solid.

Dude, OSU had a pretty hard time with Bowling Green.

I'm a Big Ten fan, and I think they look pretty week right now compared to the Pac 10 and the SEC.

That's what I was just going to say. We didn't struggle with either of them either.

Sorry, Akron. Which is a worse team than BGSU. And you guys let them hang around for a while. The point is, that the argument isn't "Big Ten ***** because Michigan is losing". The problem is that last year, Michigan and OSU, the two perennial powerhouses of the Big Ten both got destroyed, and embarassed in their respective bowl games. Illinois and Purdue are doing well, 2 games into the season, for Illinois and purdue. And that is great. Penn State and Wisconsin will hopefully do ok to. OSU hasn't played anyone yet so it's tough to say how they will end up.

I am a Big Ten fan, but it is hard not to argue that the Big Ten is looking weak lately.

Yeah, and a couple of years ago we were being heralded as one of the best conferences in the nation.

Truth be told the media and college fans are fickle. You're only as good as your last win, and you're only as bad as your last loss. Ohio State beat Akron, unspectacularly, but a win is a win. We got destroyed in our Bowl game. Does that mean we're in a weak division, the media would like to think so, but I don't believe it's true.

We'll see at the end of the season.

media has a way of blowing everything WAY out of proportion. To base all this hype on two bowl games and 2 non conference games for one big 10 team is completely unfair and unfounded. It has always been a competative conference and i dont see how that has changed.
