What stunts will the people in power pull this year?

They'll probably just go with the classic not having enough voting machines in the inner city polling places. Its a classic that never seems to go out of style.

Let stupid personal things rule the news by capitalising upon them, instead of burying them in the place they should be buried - somewhere that isn't the news...

Bush attacked Syria this week, but there hasn't been another full blown invasion. What else should we expect this week? If something happens militarily, I believe it will happen this week. If Bush and McCain want to provoke Iran, now is the time. The election is next week. Will Bush attack targets inside Iran this week or do something to provoke a broader war on the other side of the world? I expect we will hear about a small attack on suspected al-Qaeda supporter inside the border of Iran...by Friday or Saturday with much hoopla on Sunday.

I suspect nothing will happen of consequence.

that is the option I was going to say. If the election had the smallest bit to do with attacking Syria, Bush should be jailed.
