from the 2008 ESPN fantasy football draft kit...
they ranked the top 150 defensive players.
Bengals have 3 on the list... 100 Keith Rivers, 139 Antwan Odom, and 141 Robert Geathers...
I hope by the end of the year some more Benglas will be on that list and ranked higher up on the list.

I'm surprised that neither Leon or Jo-Jo made the top 150.

Im really surprised JJ didnt make it. He has so much potential youd think others would see it.

In a fantasy league that actually uses individual defensive players, safeties and linebackers take precedent over even the best CB's. Int's may or may not happen but you know tackles are going to be made by someone, so fantasy wise a krappy LB > excellent CB. Without even looking I know Antoine Winfield is the top CB on that list cause he's like another outside linebacker against the run, but he's the exception.

Edit: I went and looked and boy was I wrong, Winfields like the fifth CB, oh well. But it is a fantasy list, and they are sooooo much different than you would think. A bum could be great fantasy wise, last year I won $150 thanks in large part to Justin Fargas.

Do you think that before heading into the 2005 season ,we would have had that many on the list. I think I'm getting used to being counted out by the media.

I will say this right now, if you're in a Fantasy Football league that plays individual defensive players and Keith RIvers is available in the latter rounds, take him. With no veteran DT's brought in AND our upgrade being made up of rookies (who rarely dominate early) AND the loss of a 100+ tackler in Landon Johnson AND the inability of Thurman to return to the team, Rivers will put up huge numbers.

Rivers may have to get 7,000 tackles if the line doesn't improve:nervous:

I think all of our top individual D players under achieved last year because the D was in such bad shape with not playing as a team and injuries and inexperience and whatnot. Hopefully we will see an improvement in the individual production and team production in the upcoming season.

smith is a 3-4 end now vs a odom and geathers who are 4-3 ends so they really are'nt comparing justin to either of them.

Only in Cincy, he is not to well thought of in other areas, same as Peco.
