Hello, we just won a really tough game. Yes we caught some breaks on Balt. mistakes and questionable calls, but was it any different then baltimore did against us the first game of last year? Yes Carson struggled in the first game of the year against the best defense in the league. Peyton Manning often (not last week) struggles at the beginning of the year. But Levi, Willie, and even Guichic didn't play much, of course he struggled. Yes Rudi didn't have a great game running the ball but (minus the fumble) he gave it to them when it counted. Our defense stopped the ratbirds on 2 straight goalline stands. We played a very good team, which had an amazing preseason and according to Billick had the best offseason he had ever had. Ever. And we beat them. Enjoy it for now, we all know that it is a long year.

I for one enjoyed it immensely. I don't care how many yards we got, how many turnovers... blah blah blah. The only reason we go for those stats is because they help us WIN and that's the whole point and that's what the Bengals did today.

I've said it in other threads. The team we beat was 13-3 last year. So they are a good team and therefore make other teams (including the bengals) look bad at times. So what. We should be celebrating the win, not listing flaws.
Our D was stellar. I believe they will keep it up and continue to win games throughout the year. I think the talent level on that side of the ball is far ahead of last year.
The stretch of our first 4 games was to be the toughest. Some were saying that if we could come out at 2-2, we would be in good shape. Now that looks to be a near lock, and if the D continues to play well, I see a victory in Seattle. NE on the other hand, well, they're NE. If the bengals play good D like today, they'll have about as good a shot as any team.
And lets not forget that we will get C. Perry and C. Henry back to finish the season.
