Season ticket holders pay $ 86 for a ticket with a face of $ 69. Not the new math, Not the COA. Preseason tickets have a value close to zero. I threw mine away last year.
They cost the same as regular season tickets. We season ticketholders know the rules and accept them. $ 690 per season ticket divided by 8 regular season games is $ 86. That's the true face value per game. I wish the NFL would price the preseason tickets lower - say $25-and raise the face price of regular season tickets. The NFL wouldn't lose any money that way. Same revenue.
Doing that would allow us to sell a ticket to friends that want to go to a game, without having them think we are cheating them. It would allow us to sell tickets on this board at face, to fans that want them at a fair price of $ 86. When you are paying $ 86 for a ticket that reads $ 69, you rightfully feel cheated. The Board doesn't allow it. That's why most of have to sell our extra tickets on StubHub-where fans pay considerably higher prices. I'd rather sell at my cost to fans on this board, and pass the full savings (Stubhub fees), to the buyer. Alas-with the NFL pricing policy-I need to sell regular season tickets on stubhub instead.
