59-20! Good Lord, Tebow looks like a 6'5 version of Mike Vick. Except he can throw. And take a hit. And he doesn't fight dogs. Although, after the way Tennessee played today, I guess it can be said that he beats dogs, because I wouldn't wish that kind of spanking on the Steelers!
I'm sick of throwing my lot in with the Vols! I mean, every year since that glorious fall of 1998, Fulmer has got my hopes up only for me to stand by and watch as other teams run to the top of the BCS.
Oh well. Wait till next year, I guess. Now I know what it feels like to lie to myself after 3 games, like a Browns fan does!

I think there's something wrong with the program. All the trouble last year plus the ... almost snubbing of Chavis when he's been there so long. But, watching the game today, I felt like Chavis had the defense pretty (kinda) ready to play in the first quarter but, going into the second through to the end of the game ... seemed like everyone was almost always out of position. I just didn't get some of the play-calling. I don't really think the problem's with the talent but with the coaching - it was bad.
Heck, I didn't understand Florida's play calling in the first quarter but they, most definitely, got their heads on straight.
And Ainge has never impressed me as a big-time quarterback. Give him quick, short routes to throw to and he's okay but you give him too much time to think about it and he starts making dumb decisions (my opinion). And he's a flipping senior. (yeah, I know, broken finger - we'll see once he's healthy).
I admit, I can't stand Fulmer and would be pretty glad to see him go but, beyond my own feelings on the man, there needs to be serious changes soon. I'd be interested in your thoughts.

I agree on Fulmer. The honeymoon is over, and I think he has rode the 98 National Title a little too long. It's been 10 years since we've won even an SEC title! The recruiting is not there, and all the great running backs and wideouts are going to flipping Florida and USC! Why can't we get a Tebow? We have not had a real quarterback since Peyton left! Eric Berry impressed me yesterday, but he IS a true freshman and he got beat on a couple of deep balls as well.
That being said, I think Urban Meyer ran the score up a little bit. I mean, c'mon, Tebow was in on all but the last drive, and Florida put up 24 points. Where is the crushing D that Tennessee has been know for? Colerain High could have put up at least 28 on the Vols!
In closing, I think Fulmer has got lazy with recruiting, and all the great players are going elsewhere. It may be time to move on.
Steve Spurrier, anyone?

Just make sure you don't say Spurrier anywhere near Knoxville, TN.
And absolutely he ran the score up. I was thinking if I was Athletic Director I'd have a chat with the Meyer over the idiotic decision to leave his starters in so late once the game was well-decided. I didn't care at all about the score but the sheer stupidity of leaving your starters in at that point was killing me.
See, I don't know about the recruiting. While, I agree to an extent, I think the Vols do have some talent that could be much better utilized. Fundamentals like, oh I don't know, tackling and ball handling/catching don't seem to be a huge focus. To me, that's coaching.
But I think you're probably right. Not only laziness in some recruiting but overall laziness in preparation. They just haven't seemed to play together with any consistent cohesiveness - like they've got the play book from 1998 that they've tried to modify a bit, in pencil (it's proven, by golly ), but they've written over and written over until the whole thing is a smudged mess.
And nobody knows what they're supposed to be doing.
