i know this doesnt have much to do with football itself, but i just felt compelled to thank everyone that posts on these boards (maybe its the compelling bud light that causes me to ramble) for doing just that...posting on these boards. its the offseason, and now that the NBA playoffs are over i am left "sportless" until football season starts again (i try to follow baseball, but let's face it, the reds **** and i refuse to root for any other team). so i wanna give a HUGE thanks to everyone on here. i dont always agree with everyone on here, and sometimes i am enraged by things ppl say, but you guys give me my sports fix. if this was a dead message board, like many other team websites have, im not sure what i would do. at 230 in the morning when i am still up, there is absolutely nothing else to do but get my bengals fix, whether its arguements about the draft, predictions about the season, or just plain news about football in general, you guys keep me occupied and ALWAYS thinking football. i saw a post on the trash talk section about everyones favorite bengals fans on the board and i just wanted to say that everyone on here is my favorite fan for the simple fact that you all keep me talking and thinking about the team. maybe everyone on here feels the same, maybe not, just wanted to say thanks to every regular board member for keeping the conversations up when at this time of the year there isnt much to talk about. thanks again, and heres another brew to the faithful fans who stayed strong to the alliance during the awful years that we have seen.
just a little background on me, i was old enough to start watching and understanding football in the early 90's (i never got to see my team make it to the super bowl, all i have is stories from you guys and of course my dad) and i have been a loyal bengals fan the entire time. not trying to brag, but i think it says a lot when you are willing to start out rooting for a team that is as bad as we were during the 90's, and not only do i feel the need to give props to the fans around my age who began thier football watching careers with a bad team, but MAJOR props to the fans who have been been through the few good times and mostly bad times. it would have been easy for many of you to start rooting for other teams in a decade of patheticness, but thats what makes you guys true fans and i truly do appreciate your dedication to the team. so heres yet another brew to a great 2007 season, hopefully this is the year that we are back in the playoffs to stay for quite a while. who dey to you all
