Q: Every beginning golfer usually has some fun stories of things they've done. I'm wondering if you've ever hit somebody with a shot or done anything interesting or have funny stories from your early rounds that you can share with us.
CARSON PALMER: I actually hit a little kid I believe on No. 10, a par 4 uphill, and on my second shot, it was an elevated green and I couldn't see the top of the green, and I hit a ball and it was going a little bit left, and I heard a lot of noise from the audience up top, and I got up there and there was like a little eight-year-old kid wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey. I didn't actually see the contact, but I hit him on the fly right in the middle of his back. He was all right, but I got up there and I said I was sorry, and I said, "At least you're a Steelers fan, I don't feel so bad."

It would have been even funnier if the little kid then took Carson out at the knees.[;)]

Mmhmm. At least we know that Carson is the only QB in the AFC North division who could put that shot right on the money. Ben couldn't have hit him with a motorcycle if he tried...

Carson goes to a lot of effort to make us believe the shot was unintentional. Hey Carson, don't hide your Bengal pride. We're proud of you for hitting Steelers fans with golf balls.
ok just in case anyone took that seriously, no one should hit little kids with golf balls

You're absolutely right. Like the other day, I was rocking my nephew (I used small rocks so as not to hurt him too much) and some guy comes up with throwing golf balls at him. At first, I was worried, but when I saw it was Ben Roethlisberger, I just started running different routes and I knew he wouldn't be able to hit me or my nephew. And do you know how hard it is to run when you're dragging a 20 lb kid behind you? I was like, "Dude! Pick up your feet! Just because you're 1 doesn't mean you can't run yet!"
Kids these days.

Yeah but the problem is he can't use a ball to hit anyone wearing a steeler jersey.

Actually, if you just start yelling audibles, he throws the ball to the nearest man wearing any other NFL team jersey and self-destructs.

Actually Ben would have hit the guy in the Raiders jersey... then the dude in the Raiders jersey would run the ball all the way back to the tee box.

If he's that accurate with a club and a golf ball just think how good he will be this season using his hands and a football! Look out AFC North there's a new gun slinger in town![:)]
