Is that only speculation that Marvin is perusing Hue for the OC job? God I hope this is true.

Maybe Marvins making rumors to light a fire under Brat?

Yes it was. There was nothing official, just speculation and rumor. We may as well get used to the idea of Brat being here. He's talking the game mike and Marvin want to hear with his "player, mental and scheme changes" pitch.

We'll probably see him change a few things and he'll keep his job. Then we'll see the usual run-run-pass-punt once the fire is extinguished.

Am i the only one that checks into bengals.com at least once a day in hopes of seeing the main article story being about our new offensive coordinator? Kind of sad that is what my off-season hopes for my Bengals have come to. I think more than any draft pick or free agent signing, a new offensive coordinator, in my opinion, would be the biggest reason to have hope for a turn around next season.

I only check the boards, but sadly enough, also about 5 times a day. Everytime my wife and I see each other after work she asks me if Bratkowski's been fired yet. Ha Ha!

She is not quite as pitiful as I am, but alas she is a BengalsBuckeyesRedsBearcats fan like myself. The most sad fact about the whole situation is that we have passed this woeful fanhood down to our children as well. <_<

At least they have an extended period for the non-Mike Brown years.

That is a good way of looking at it. I hadn't thought of that, thanks! See what a sucker I am!

I wish he'd just resign to make us feel safer! Otherwise, they'll probably keep him and... you know how GREAT that would be.:nervous:

I check as well, but seeing as Marvin is basically our GM, don't expect anything until, minimum, next week as Marvin has to coach the Sr. Bowl & will keep Brat on to serve for them.

Hopefully after the game Marvin will say "yeah, those players did well, and our new OT will not be coached by Bob Bratkowki."

You know, instead of "*giggles*Our coaches will *giggles* do their best *giggles* to hopefully help us get a *giggles*win*gigglesI"

*GIGGLES*

This is something the team needs desperately (letting Brat go) whether they recognize it or not, they need a new attitude and blood line at OC.

Good question, Hugh would be good, ken Zampeze, someone who has great experience in working with QB's and an understanding to do all necessary to accomidate the QB's strengths and not expose them to what Carson has the last couple years. Also, it is imperative that they can adjust to defensive changes throughout the game, that is just a few things Brat has been very below average at in my opinion.

I think of Zampse but then you have to remember how terrible Jordan Palmer and Fitzy were this year
Carson already had all the tools so he didn't really need to be coached up
But damn...Fitzpatrick and Jordan were just...terrible

I know what you are saying, but we also need to realize that both Fitz and Jordan are not NFL starter quality either, that I am sure of...

I like you alot, you just need to follow the COC, I am glad it worked out for you, also realize it is never personal, just doing what the Bengals ask of us.

My god, someone should call child protective services.

Mother and father are alcoholic lunatics with a penchant for sadistic self mutilating behavior, and now even the KIDS are showing signs.

I was on Profootballtalk, and the have an article saying the 49ers are interested in Hue Jackson as well
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/01/22/49ers-interested-in-ravens-jackson/

do you think this will make Mr. Lewis show his cards and get rid of Brat or is it the Bengals missing out on Hue?

You know in that movie Baseketball, by the South Park creators, when that little pipsqueak character says, "d.mn it you guys, I swear, if you make fun of me 16 or 17 more times, I'm gonna lose it!"...?

That's about as much clout as Marvin is carrying right now with me. What's the old saying, fool me 7 times shame on you, fool me an 8th time shame on me?

I used to open the page with hope in my heart, but after being let down last off season and with everything I'm reading so far, it just brings disappointment... so now I just assume that he'll be back.
