Since we seem to have an ongoing discussion about how high guys should be drafted, here's my Top 10 value board.
1. Matt Stafford
2. Michael Crabtree
3. Andre Smith
4. Eugene Monroe
5. Aaron Curry
6. Brian Orakpo
7. Mark Sanchez
8. Jason Smith
9. Rey Maualuga
10. Alex Mack
I think that's why I have such a problem taking Oher at #6. The other thing I would point out, I really don't see a ton of difference between prospects 6-20. I really would love to have 2 or 3 first round picks in the 15-30 range. You could really fill a bunch of holes this year.

First 10
1 WR Michael Crabtree 6-3 215 4.5 - - - - Texas Tech
2 0LB Aaron Curry 6-2 246 4.6 - - - - Wake Forest
3 OT Eugene Monroe 6-5 315 5.2 - - - - Virginia
4 CB Malcolm Jenkins 6-0 200 4.4 - - - - Ohio St
5 OT Michael Oher 6-5 320 5.2 - - - - Mississippi
6 DT BJ Raji 6-1 325 5.1 - - - - Boston College
7 QB Matt Stafford 6-3 236 4.7 - - - - Georgia
8 OT Andre Smith 6-4 340 5.2 - - - - Alabama
9 QB Mark Sanchez 6-3 225 4.7 - - - - Southern Cal
10 DE Everette Brown 6-4 250 4.7 - - - - Florida St
Next 10
11 OT Jason Smith 6-5 300 5.1 - - - - Baylor
12 DE Brian Orakpo 6-4 260 4.7 - - - - Texas
13 RB Chris Wells 6-1 237 4.5 - - - - Ohio St
14 WR Jeremy Maclin 6-1 200 4.4 - - - - Missouri
15 LB Rey Maualuga 6-2 260 4.7 - - - - USC

19 DT Peria Jerry 6-3 295 4.9 - - - - Mississippi
20 LB Brian Cushing 6-4 255 4.7 - - - - USC
I like Brown overall more than Orakpo. I think when you are drafting at 6 you have to take the best available player. I think with teams following the Miami model from last year with drafting Long #1 the first 6 picks will be
1. Detroit Lions- OT Michael Oher 6-5 320 5.2 - - - - Mississippi
2. St. Loius Rams - OT Andre Smith 6-4 340 5.2 - - - - Alabama
3. Kansas City Chiefs- 0LB Aaron Curry 6-2 246 4.6 - - - - Wake Forest
4. Seatlle Seahawks- WR Michael Crabtree 6-3 215 4.5 - - - - Texas Tech
5. Cleveland Browns- CB Malcolm Jenkins 6-0 200 4.4 - - - - Ohio St
6. Cincinnati Bengals- OT Eugene Monroe 6-5 315 5.2 - - - - Virginia He gives us good value at a position of need.

I agree with both your boards, especially the Bengals one. And if the draft goes that way, I'm fine with it.
Also, A. Smith is from Alabama not Georgia.

I also think William Moore could be there at 10 but he was asked to do way too much on a terrible defense at Missouri so his stock is nowhere near that. I dont like either of the QBs i think both can have moderate success in the NFL but not top 10 players in the draft. I still think Andre Smith is the best impact Tackle in the draft and if he is moved to guard he will have a Steve Hutchinson type impact in the run game. Aaron Curry is no doubt the best player in the draft in my eyes. I know some will be angry with the Jerry pick but I like him better than Raji.

MARK SANCHEZ???????????????? Just because he is the second rated QB does not make him a top 10 value. It has been stated by the USC coaching staff that it is a mistake for him to come out this year. He has a very hard time reading college defenses so imagine the trouble he will have in the NFL. This is no different than the Aaron Rodgers Alex Smith draft. Neither QB in most other years would have been remotely as high as the 2nd round, however since it was a horrible draft year for QBs their stock was elevated. I think absolutely Stafford is a top 10 value and should probably be the #1 pick, but Sanchez.....no way. Just my opinion.

The problem with QBs is that for the most part, teams will tend to fall in love with the physical skills of a QB over the mental aspect.
Why do I have him in the top 10 (a lot of people have him in the top 5),
Simple: big time arm, big time program, big time physical skills. I won't argue with the mental side of the game, but face it, USC qbs have come to the league pretty well prepared lately (Palmer, Cassell, Booty, Leinart and now Sanchez). Pete Carroll is a phenominal coach. And besides, he doesn't have to step right on the field and play.

Although I agree with you the point is he will be. I dont think anyone expects Sanchez to come in and contribute right away.

Plain and simple if he did step straight on an NFL team he would never make it as a franchise QB he will play 2nd or 3rd string his entire career.:tiger::tiger:i think troy smith was a better qb at ohio state and look were he is sitten... just sayen he is not a starting qb in the nfl this year

If he is not going to contribute right away then i certainly would not make him a top 10 pick.
