I read this on Carson's board on his webpage but I thought I would post it here too to see if anyone has any strings they could pull for this little girl. My heart totally broke after reading this, so please, if you can help this little girl, PLEASE do so!!! Read below:
Charity request For A 5 Year Old Girl
My name is Tera Kuhlman. I work for a small environmental company in Sharonville. The company that I work for is contracted through the Metropolitan Sewer District of Cincinnati. We provide customer service to many homes and businesses in the City and in Hamilton County. Also subcontracted with us are 7 local restoration companies.
The reason for my email concerns the owner of one of those restoration companies. Keith Desserich, owner of Restoraid and Coit, has a little girl who is very sick. Elena, who is only five years old, was diagnosed shortly after Thanksgiving with having a diffused brain stem glioma. In short, this means that she has developed a brain tumor on her brain stem. The tumor is most likely inoperable and the typical prognosis is difficult. Since the beginning of December, Elena and her parents have been at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. Here she is undergoing several tests and procedures, among them radiation and chemotherapy. Below I have provided a website where you can learn all about Elena, how she is doing, and her strength and determination to fight.
If you look at the wish list that her and her father have compiled, you will see that one of her wishes is to meet a Bengals Player, preferably Carson Palmer who it says that she has a crush on! I know that it’s the off-season and that the players are busy resting and relaxing, but if there is anyway for Elena to meet Carson Palmer it would be fantastic. I really want to be able to help fulfill one of Elena’s wishes. It would mean the world to her and to her family. If you could please either respond to me or have someone contact me, I would greatly appreciate it. The website mentions that the family would like to accomplish her wish list by March.
