I like to review drafts 3 years after they happen and 15 years after. So, here's the Bengal's 04' draft.
1-Chris Perry, RB
2-Keiwan Ratliff, CB
2-Madieu Williams, S
3-Caleb Miller, LB
3-Landon Johnson, LB
4-Matthias Askew, DT
4-Robert Geathers, DE
4-Stacy Andrews, T
5-Maurice Mann, WR
6-Greg Brooks, CB
7-Casey Bramlet, QB
Not a great draft, but not a bad one either. The Perry pick was a good one, showing in his first season, but was hurt by injuries, which he had o past of. Ratliff is now our 4th CB/Punt Returner, and it looks like he was a bust as a CB. Madieu was a good pick, and has become the only consistent part of our defense(other than Simmons was). Miller is one of our bakup LBs, but is always a decent player. Johnson was an absoulute steal, not starting for us. Askew isn't with the team anymore. Andrews is the front runner to be the left guard. Mann is gone. Brooks is hanging on the team as a back-up. Bramlet is gone.
Draft Grade- 3 starters, 3 backups, and 1 what-could-have-been isn't too shabby. A solid draft with no busts. A-
Best Pick- Geathers and Johnson were diamonds in the rough, but I'd say Geathers.
Worst Pick- Many think Perry, but he, for one season, made our offense great. Looks like the only high pick that didn't pan out is Ratliff
