Hey Fans..Are you crushed by the methodical melt-down of this team. Tired of watching another pathetic effort by players who have no business being on an NFL team?
Can't figure out how with the kind of Talent we have on Offense can be stranded on a 1-3 team.
Well me too..
The answer lies with Ownership. Wanna know why the Colts Pats and Cowboys are perenial contenders? It's because the owner has an eye for talent and pays the money neccesary to bring that talent to the franhcise, then gives them all the support they need to be succesful...It really isn't rocket science, but there is an art to it. An art that our Owner does not undertstand.
Hiring one decent coach is not enough to build a dynasty...Getting a few excellent players will not be enough to make up for a sub-par roster.
Hey, you wanna see Palmer lift a SB Trophy...Me too. But as long as every game is sold out, and the die hard crowd continues to look thru the make believe glasses and 'bleed orange and black' this team isn't ever gonna get the full solution.
If a DC whose Defense is ranked 19th is given one season, why is a DC whose D is ranked on the bottom or near it given three seasons?
If an offense with One Hall of Fame QB and the best WR Tandem in the league is only putting up 13 points against anyone...why does the OC still have a job?
And if the Head Coach doesn't recognize these truths, then why is he still here...Five years is an eternity in the NFL...I'll give Marvin the first three years, But since then we have slid right down the hill.
The owner will not put his money back into the team. So the team will fail..
But we will waste a few more seasons before any changes are made...Changes that will do nothing ultimately, because the cycle will simply begin again.,...
In the Meantime Carson will age and retire, having no ring to show for his efforts, and it will be another 40 years before we see that kind of talent taking snaps...
You wanna Winner. Stop buying tickets and the Permits to buy tickets...
You want to see improvement, quit putting your hopes on broken players (C. Perry) Under acheiving players (R. Johnson) and pathetic players (Amhad Brooks) and demand, with your dollars , that this owner puts his profits, (your hard earned dollars) back into his business...not once a decade, but every year,,,,whenever the situation demands it.
I have no problem building a team for the future thru the draft, but it doesn't work unless you also bring in free agents to help in the Present.
All our draft picks for the last few years have gone belly up, unless you saw something in J. Joseph getting burnt like newspaper to start a fire that screams 'Future Superstar' , we need to be pursuing Free Agents who know how to win and can come in and contribute while our young players develop over the next few years....
It's not a curse. It's not Voodoo...
It's an Owner who runs his NFL franchise like a Shoe Store...
While Jerry Jones is holding back from giving Tony Romo a Contract, a kid who may in fact be the next Favre...We're busy making Justin Smith our 'Franchise Player' because of his incredible 'Engine'...Whatever...
It's up to us fans.
You wanna put your hopes on the return of our Third Receiver (a Receiver who is gonna take the first offer to be a Number 1 as soon as his contract is up) be my guest....
You wanna hope against hope that a RB with a reconstructed lower body will be the answer to all our prayers, you're in luck...we have two of them.
Think as soon as Ahmad Brooks and Caleb Miller are in the Line-up we'll suddenly be an inpenetrable Defensive Force...Well I fell sorry for you.
Hey, and one more thing. No one calls New York, the Fair Weather Fan Capital of the World...They call 'em the hardest market to play in because of their knowledge of the game, and demand of excellence. Come on Cincy Fans. You deserve better than perpetual Heartbreak...
Let your voices be heard....Don't attend Bengals Publicity Events! Don't go buy Merchandise and seek out autographs...Money talks...
Marvin did some good things. Pollack Breaking his D^&n neck, and Odell getting himself thrown out of the league is genuine bad luck and misfortune, with stupidity to top it off...And that stuff happens. But when it does, an Owner has to step up and find the right next solution. Not try to convince us that last year's Bench Rider is this year's savior (Brooks) ...or that a bottomed out Coordinator is 'a few blown plays' away from putting together the leagues most fearsome Defense...
Come On!!!
Quit fooling yourselves folks....Your team, built with your dollar...it's up to you....
