same here, I could have went to see Jacksonville @ Buffalo last year but I didn't want to go because I don't like to miss any Bengals games at all and it was even better that I didn't go with the Bengals getting their first shutout in 17 years with the 30-0 win in Cleveland

i'm trying to get my friend to come with me down to that game. My buddy is a huge Bills fan but he bets on so many games on Sundays its hard to get him out of the sports bar as he likes to keep tabs on every game and a stadium ticker wont cut it for him.

Hopefully I can drag him out for that day should be a good time. Would be my first Bengal game as well. Too bad its in Barfalo not Cincy.

I just wanted to make a comment about the sig...THE BENGAL THING. Maybe I'm wrong....but it just seems like....with all the fancy SIG's i see...including this one....the fancy "sayings, colors, and SIG's"......for all the bengal fans on here....well...

it just seems like....it's like painting lightning bolts on the shell of a turtle, then entering the turtle into a race with kangaroos and rabbits. What I mean is, it seems like you guys have to "fancy up" your fanship to this team.....to kinda somehow make them (the bengals) appear to be something they are not.

Use me for example. Nothing fancy. No graphics. No sizzling statements, SIG's, or "cute, and clever" steeler sayings. Just plain ol' BAM, In-Your-Face, there-it-is type of thing. And wow...just so happens how i operate on here, is not too far from how the Steelers operate in real life. Nothing flashy. No arrogance from players. No big talk. No whiners. Just real, plain, straight forward football.

And look at the results.

That is dumb

Secondly you should not fear technology and skills that you do not understand. Just because you do not know how to make a decent sig does not mean that those with a higher capacity to do so are.

Third, I am not sure of the correlation here, but are you comparing sigs on a message board to "making the Bengals something thay are not". I do not understand this logic. How does my sig on this message board in ANY way reflect on how the team "appears". That is just ignorant.

Forthly..... there is a WHOLE forum devoted to smack (however of a weak attempt this was). So, you may want to keep this kind of talk in there and not in a thread about Bengals fans meeting in Buffalo for the game.

Last but not least... it isn't like I just dreamt up an idea for a sig. It is my Bengals Persona. I will not go into explaining this because it goes much deeper than your understanding or "5 rings and you".

I'm pretty much the same way on Sundays but as long as I'm not missing out on any Bengals games and I'm going to this game by a trip from my bar and they couldn't have picked a better game, I'm just about the only Bengals fan at my bar and everyone thinks I had some kind of infleuence on picking that game to see but it was just great timing on the calendar as I doubt my bar would have went to see the Bengals if they were playing in mid to late December, apparently I'm sitting in the 2nd deck endzone behind the tunnel (or as seen on TV, the right end zone where Dallas kicked that 106 yard Field Goal to win that game)

lol, well captain....my post about SIGS, etc, was done extremely spontaneously, and knew I was about to sign off of the message boards altogether, and was looking (desperately I might add) to intentionally inflict some more "nonsense" to dwellling bengal fans out there...in hopes to strike a nerve with them. lol, well captain....my post about SIGS, etc, was done extremely spontaneously, and knew I was about to sign off of the message boards altogether, and was looking (desperately I might add) to intentionally inflict some more "nonsense" to dwellling bengal fans out there...in hopes to strike a nerve with them. I ventured off of my normal path (which is in Smack room), because i could not find anything even remotely intriguing to comment on....

I do believe our "Mascot" discussions where you and Philhos claimed that the intent of the steelers mascot was to represent Bill Cowher...is what ultimately displays to people just how quick some people out there can be rash and bold with their statements, without being able to "back it up" with any kind of significance.

Not a very intelligent thing to do. Make bold implications that can not be backed up.

Forgive me for labeling you "average-minded", however, it is for reasons I stated above that seem to ultimately "justify" my remarks. Especially when I witness this "average-mindedness" more often than I'd prefer from multiple upon multiple Bengal fans.

I am from Buffalo, NY but not a Bills fan, never have been, never will be. I live in Northern KY/Cincinnati area. Going to Buffalo for the game on Sunday with other Benglas fans.
If you want really really good wings, go to Duff's or Mother's on Allen St. in the city of Buffalo. Don't go to Anchor Bar. Also, Coles on the Elmwood Strip has good wings.
