I'm assuming this team drafts right around 20. I know they're better than they look, and at worst, I see us going 6-10 and drafting 12th, at best going 11-5 and drafting 26th

1 - Vernon Gholston DE OSU - I really want a DT, but looking at this point of the draft I don't know that anyone other than Glen Dorsey will be worth taking in the first 40 picks, and Dorsey is a top 5 pick. I know, I know, I hate OSU, but he has talent, size and a bit of speed, which would be great for replacing the undersized Justin Smith. He may end up being a tweener, but I wouldn't mind, especially since this team is a base 3-4 with many 4-3 defensive looks

2 - Barry Richardson OT Clemson - Here is a guy that's going to be great. He paved the way for two different runners at Clemson and made them look a lot better than they really were. He's tall, he's big and he can move alright. I would say he could end up being like a Whitworth type, and could take over for Willie, or move around the line.

3 - Wesley Woodyard ILB UK - This kid plays quick, he hits hard, and leads the SEC in tackles per game. Thus far in the season by OVER two tackles a game to the second leading tackler. He will be a first team member of the all-SEC defense, and right now is a projected 4th rounder. I think he'll be a steal.

I really want Burton in the 2nd round, but Richardson is OK by me as well. I wouldn't mind seeing Steve Johnson join Cincy in the late rounds (6 or 7) as he has caught just about everything thrown his way and has come on REAL strong his Sr season.

I do think we'll get another 4th round as a compensatory pick for letting Steinbach leave. I actually wouldn't be surprised if it turned into a 3rd round pick.

On the second day, I see the Bengals going with a DT, some WRs, a RB and a DB (Probably as a PR/KR specialist). Maybe just going with pure speed on defense for some new gunners.

Some other names.

Glenn Dorsey- DT- LSU

-This kid is like an Albert Haynesworth Player minus the personality. Can anybody complain with that?

Calais Campbell-DE-Miami U
-If Justin Smith goes, I would take this kid with open arms in one second. This kid is a stud. But he might stay for another year.

Dan Connor- I see him slipping into the second round, I think Paul Po was andwill be a better player than Connor.

James Lauranitis LB/Ohio ST- Obviously, I want this kid. This kid has heart and incredible tackling, leadership, playmaking skills. I compare him similiar to Brian Urlacher.

Weslie Woodyard LB/KY- As you mentioned.l I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have this kid. I could see him going into the late first, middle second round with the depth at linebacker this year. This kid is this years Patrick Willis.

Barry Richardson OT/Clemson - Would be a great addition, he is a young Willie Anderson. After watching Willie play for as long as I have, would you complain to have another Willie?

Jake Long OT/Michigan- THE STUD of this year's O-line. I see him being Better than Brickashaw, Joe Thomas and Levi Brown.

Steve Johnson WR/ST-KY- Also that you mentioned. This kid is a great great great player for anybody who gets him.

Raphael Little RB/KY- Injuries could drop him into the 4th round! I would take him in the 4th round in a heartsecond. Can you say Michael Bush steal?

Kenan Burton WR/KY Yikes, I love this kid's play making abilities.

I like the Bryant kid out of Purdue. I think he is similiar but faster and healthier to a Antonio Chatman. Chatman when he first came in was good.

Nate Longshore QB/Cal- QB? QB!? Yeah. Fitzpatrick is at the end of his contract and if we cant sign him, I would like to have Longshore helping us out.

Malcom Jenkins DB/Ohio State- I love this kids play making abilities and his hard hitting.

Johnathan Heffney S/Tenn- This kid before the beginning of this year, other than Kenny Phelps was ranked in the top 10 in most mock drafts. He is a great player with fantastic instincts.

I will have more to follow.

I'm a big fan of Willie, but I don't think he's got much left in the tank. I'm thinking that this will be the year that we have to draft is future replacement. I'm holding out hope that Steinbach will turn into a 3rd round compensatory pick. If that's the case, then we definitely need to grab a OT in the first day. If Long or Richardson is there at our spot and it looks good, then we grab them.

I understand that we need defense, but there's so much to look at. I can only narrow down our D needs to our front seven.

If you want to build a good team you start with the OL and DL we have enough good skilled players but both lines need a lot of help. Wake up and draft what we need not like last year when we took a QB and RB we didn't need.

If Carson goes down, then who do you turn to? Oh, and Kenny would be great right now...

...If he was healthy.

Another DT, Sedrock Ellis. I know this is homerish, but he did have 2 sacks, three tackels for a loss, and some other good stuff against stanford. But i think we need a leader on defense. Somebody who is a hard nosed motherf***er who will get in and hit somebody in the mouth. Somebody who the team can rally around. I'm thinking that guy from Kentucky or Dan Connor. Also, a big time pass rusher (anybody know the DE from South F.'s name?). White and Nuke-em (can't spell it) were both great choices whi i think will turn into quality players one day. Irons will be back next season, so no need for a running back. I think we should wait one more season beofre we start drafting offensive linemen thought, williw and levi still have some time. Its just to bad we can't draft a new deffensive coordinator.....

I would absolutely love Wesley Woodyard. He is the type of player the Bengals need on their team. No ego, with a good work ethic and plays his heart out every week.

Yeah but if we switch to a 3-4 who will play nose guard? Get dorsey early then get a guy in the second round like cushing, woodward (if he is still around), or some other soild fundemental guy who has no character issues.

I'm pulling the Homer card here:

I'd like to see us get Xavier Adibi from Virginia Tech. He is a dominant and athletic LB. Best part? He is from a Virginia Tech defense that is trained to knock people silly, which I think is the kind of attitude that our defense lacks at times.

Not sure if he is coming out this year, but I hear more scouts talking about him; so i figure they might know better than I.

I like Vince Hall at LB for V-Tech.

remember kids....the Animal is only a junior and he may stay to win a NC if it doesn't happen this year. OSU will have a senior QB next year, Freeman will be a Senior James will be as well and we have Wells with another year under his belt. This OSU team could be the best we have seen in a long time next year...I don't see him going to the NFL right away. He loves OSU and could use the extra year to work on a few things. Our LB coach knows his stuff and if you stick around...good things happen...look at Hawk!

I beg to differ, OSU last year was better than the OSU team of next season. What the scouts don't show you is this team's lack of an offense, and that may end up biting them in the *** come the end of he season.

Yeah, I love the way Luke Fickell is coaching our LBs. I look for him to get a defensive coordinators job soon.

We have got some pretty good players to fill the void left by last years departures.

Todd Boeckman is playing some good football right now, he's a pure pocket passer and is able to throw the ball down field as well as anyone we've ever had.

Brian Robiskie is a flat out playmaker. He's got ginn like speed but he's got sure hands and make some dynamic catches in coverage. If he keeps it up, he'll be a first rounder for sure.

Chris Wells is a MONSTER at RB, he's like a bigger and stronger Adrian Peterson without the juking ability. He just flat out runs people over. He has a SICK stiff arm that is capable of shoving a LB to the ground.

Brian Hartline has great hands, think of Gonzalez last year, but with slightly less speed.

Ray Small is a smaller guy (no pun intended) but is quick and shifty, he can make plays running, catching and returning kicks.

Brandon Saine is our change of pace back, a freshman this year who has been able to run with explosiveness in addition to returning kicks and has a great set of hands. Picture a less polished Reggie Bush.

Jake Ballard is a pass catching and blocking TE that can get downfield pretty quick. Despite the fact that we don't often throw to our TEs, he's usally able to pull in at least one or two catches a game as a checkdown receiver.

Dane Sanzenbacher is good too, but I haven't seen enough about him to say what he consistently brings to the table.

That's what I love about Ohio State football, you can be sad that you're losing quality players, but when you look at the talent we have coming in, it gets you excited all over again.

I don't think so. I believe we have a much better running back, I think Robiskie is better than Ginn..granted Hartline is not not Gonzo but very close. As for the QB, it is really like comparing apples and oranges. I really do like Todd and I love the pocket passer.

I do think right now our offense is the weakest part of our game. I see us getting better and better each week though and that will lead to a strong O by the end of the year
