The #6 seed Columbus Destroyers beat the #1 seed Dallas Desperados 66-59 in the Arena Football League National Conference Divisional Playoffs Saturday Night in Dallas.
Destroyers quarterback Matt Nagy was named Offensive Player of the Game after leading the offense completing 20 of 32 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. He also added two rushing touchdowns. Defensive back Brandon Hefflin earned Defensive Player of the Game honors as he led all defenders with 9.5 tackles (8 unassisted and 3 assisted), recovered one fumble on a net recovery and intercepted one pass.
The Destroyers advance to the National Conference Championship game for the first time in franchise history, where they will take on either the Philadelphia Soul or the Georgia Force. The Destroyers look to duplicate the feat the Chicago Rush accomplished in 2006, where they ended the regular season with a 7-9 record, and won 4 straight postseason games, to include the Arena Bowl. Thoughts on the Destroyers' success?

I'm glad to see Columbus get the win, especially over Dallas. I would like to see them make it to the AFL title game, but I stick to my San Jose Sabercats to meet them there, and hopefully bring home another Arena Championship.
