So when Benson fumbled it the second time I punched my laptop and broke the hard drive. The first expensive thing I have broken in Bengals anger.

I turned around and punched my seat and thought for sure broke my hand.

I was driving and actually pulled over so I could cuss at the radio. I'm sure I looked completely insane to everyone else.

I was driving too, made up some words and yelled others that shouldn't be said within a week of Christmas.

I made the playoffs in four outta five leagues and lost in the semi finals in three.:mad:

I think I won the other one, some random free league I did with my old lady, I dominated that league completely and cuz I would put in the right players for her when she wasn't looking (she likes to play the dudes she "likes" as opposed to the better players lol) I'm pretty sure it was her I beat in the title game. But it sux cuz I didn't even care about that league, there was no competition at all.

Is it sad that it almost gave me chills listening to the Saints fans chanting and that dome going crazy? I hope I can experience a good franchise and great fans rocking the jungle before I leave this Earth.

Weren't you around in '88? Riverfront rocking on New Years Eve headed to XXIII.

Hopefully more of those memories in store this decade.

I think we are gonna win that. Bal plays like garbage on the road and we almost beat them at Bal with no AJ.

We need to attack them with AJ. And play solid defense. Hopefully Flacco will gift wrap a few easy INTs.

I'm pretty scared of it since the Ravens will want the bye week. They're a better team than us right now, but we have a chance if the offense can actually capitalize on mistakes instead of settling for FGs

How bad do you think we are missing Shipley? With Caldwell now on IR I think we need to get Hawkins more involved. I like getting him the ball in space. I think a lot of our fans are going overboard on wanting to draft another WR high. With Ship coming back I think we do not have to grab an early WR. Maybe grab one in the later rounds that could be a player. AJ is dominant and will make whoever our #2 WR is better by coverage alone.

I just want a FA receiver.

I have been reading the Ravens forum, and this is what they are all worried about.
Giving the ball control to Cam and Flacco. If we take their running game out early like we have been lately, it is going to be an interesting chess match.

Like one thing that super annoyed me last game was on 3rd and 10 when we were running out the clock, and Gruden sends every receiver out on a vertical. Gresh ran a cross about 8 yards down field, but didn't seem to be part of progressions. At that point, we're playing field position and ball control. Why do that pllay?

Also, every call against the Ravens during the first game. Like the option and throw back pass by Scott. Lol

Gruden has definitely had an up and down season although I wonder how much of this is Marvin getting in the way. As for the trick plays, I liked the imagination. It just seemed that we tried the plays one time in practice, they worked and that's all she wrote. We get into a game and everyone forgot the damn play.

It looks to me like Dunlap is rounding back into shape nicely and hoping that he will go on a tear with the rest of the boys up front.

I want them to just start raping opposing Olines and QBs worse than Jodie Foster in "The Accused".:ninja:

Outside of coaching, I find Dline play to be the biggest difference maker in this league. It's right up there with superior QB play and perhaps even more important. Cuz even a cyborg hybrid of Joe Montana and Dan Fouts can't do much for you laying on his back. Especially when it only takes the D's front four to accomplish it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Carlos found his way back into Marvin's doghouse for lying about his injury. Marvin is that kind of guy.

There's always going to be criticism of a player regardless. I remember Carson being criticized back in 05. It's freaking nuts.

I hear you man. I'm glad I didn't have my laptop in my hands when that happened. Instead, I had just thanked the lady at Zaxby's drive thru for my food (chicken joint in Lexington, best damn chicken on the planet) and started driving away, rolling the window up, when I heard he fumbled again. I cussed some non-sensical aneurism-induced vile at my radio. I wondered immediately if the lady heard me. And then I immediately didn't care if she had or not, because Cedric Benson was busy trying to bend over our chances of going to the playoffs.

Thanks for the time Cedric, been real, but yeah, time to part ways.

Disclaimer: I thought this prior to the 26 fumbles in the last 2 games.

Agreed. This year we really did not have a choice IMO. You can't replace everyone in one draft so I was ok with it and Benson has looked good in some games. Very good in others. But then he goes and pulls this again and in other games he has looked average at best. I like Scott for his moves but he dances around too much and needs to hit the hole and get what he can. He also can't block for crap. So yeah, I want a all around back in this draft or through FA. I wonder if the Bears would be dumb enough to let Forte walk.

I hear you man. I'm glad I didn't have my laptop in my hands when that happened. Instead, I had just thanked the lady at Zaxby's drive thru for my food (chicken joint in Lexington, best damn chicken on the planet) and started driving away, rolling the window up, when I heard he fumbled again. I cussed some non-sensical aneurism-induced vile at my radio. I wondered immediately if the lady heard me. And then I immediately didn't care if she had or not, because Cedric Benson was busy trying to bend over our chances of going to the playoffs.

Thanks for the time Cedric, been real, but yeah, time to part ways.

Disclaimer: I thought this prior to the 26 fumbles in the last 2 games.

Agreed. This year we really did not have a choice IMO. You can't replace everyone in one draft so I was ok with it and Benson has looked good in some games. Very good in others. But then he goes and pulls this again and in other games he has looked average at best. I like Scott for his moves but he dances around too much and needs to hit the hole and get what he can. He also can't block for crap. So yeah, I want a all around back in this draft or through FA. I wonder if the Bears would be dumb enough to let Forte walk.

The Bears won't let him walk, but it's going to be an ugly scene when they tag him. My dream is that Ray Rice makes it to FA and we snag him.

Realistically, I believe our RB will come in the 2nd or 3rd round and split time with Scott. He's shown some flash, but he clearly needs good OL play in front of him.

The thing I like about when things like that happens, is Zimmer gets on them BADLY that week.

It was gap control today, however. The problem is Houston's OL is better than teh Ravens. We seem to play well against zone blocking teams though

Thinking about today, one of the positives is we were able to contain Torrey Smith which I thought was going to be a big deal.

On the flip side though, AJ all but disappeared this game. I think Dalton was afraid to throw to Ed Reed or was told not to.

I would like to see us take a hard look at bringing in Robert Meachem. Or if we have a good free agency and maybe land a good OG, and CB Cortland Finnegan then I would not be opposed to drafting another WR high...maybe Floyd.

Also it will be nice having Ship back as well.

It's a tough call. I'm worried about Saints receivers because all they do is throw the ball. Plus, we have not had luck with free agent receivers lately. I would have problems if we filled our other needs in FA and looked at a WR early in the draft. This is looking like a good draft of receivers so we could get one in the second or third.

I never let it go back to the host control, I always just kept the domain hoping for the show to return one day...

Meh I am not too worried other than our tendency to start out slow. Just depends on Logan and our O line. If we can run the ball and Wilson gets free it will be fine. We have a lot of speed on defense too.

It is allowed to as long as he maintains possession which he clearly does. The fact that it was called a TD on the field is th thing that gets me. There is no way in hell there is enough to overturn that.

ACC head of officials said there was not enough evidence to overturn the call. They have sent a notice to Pac 12 officials asking them to explain.

I didn't watch overtime, just watched bits and pieces throughout regulation. But any time something is overturned and it's not obvious, it just enfuriates me. Sounds like this was a bad call if the head of officials of their conference is making a stink about it.
