Well there's this unwritten rivalry between Portland and Seattle. So one of the things that is debated is football. Obviously the Seahawks are the #1 team here, but a lot of people don't want to support Seattle in anyway so they look elsewhere. Now I understand the Steelers having fans out here, but the Browns and Ravens amazed me, mainly the Browns because this isn't the first Browns fan I've met here in the Northwest.
Why wouldn't people want to support Seattle at all?

They want to do anything possible to make the Portland area more superior. People around here do what they can to brag about having an NBA team while Seattle lost their's. It's pretty sad at times. The Northwest does have a huge variety of fans.

1) Well after being stuck in a smaller city in Illinois for the past 8 months...with not much to look at...it was also surprising to see the diversity of the people here in Cincinnati. I went to Nada tonight for dinner and drinks, but the girls were looking pretty hot tonight. It was more of a comment and compliment. I might have to consider applying here in 2 years.

The article was about Kiper's mock, which had us taking Thomas. So Hobson wrote up a small thing about Thomas and history, it was decent. I know his foot is broken, but they said it should be healed in 4-6 weeks. He is a big tough physical guy, who some have said can wind up like Andre Johnson. The scary thing about is that he comes from Georgia Tech's triple option team. His route running is his biggest question mark, and we already have that in Simpson. If he can show that he can run NFL routes then I'd be happy with him in the first.

I'm not sure if there's any footage on the internet. You could try youtube, but you'll probably just get a bunch of those highlight videos.

It's really hard to predict where the WRs are going to be taken. Some people have said that Dez is the only WR worthy of the first round. Tough call on him. I believe Rey is out future MLB, but I don't think I'd complain with Spikes because of Mike Zimmer. I don't know if he'd play Mike or Sam for us, but you can't deny that our LB group would be a bright future for us.

I restarted and had horrible luck. I have the rewinds turned on to try and prevent injuries, but I had the worst one. Ced went down so I hit the rewind option and did everything again. Unfortunately Carson got injured and it turned out to be a career ender. I chose to make a trade and went down a path that a friend of mine said worked. I pulled a trade for Kevin Kolb, but if you want to make it easier on yourself, you need to do roster tweaking ahead of time. Then after the season, Bobbie wanted too much money so I pulled another trade. Gave Odom to Arizona for a 4th round pick and Herman Johnson. Turned him into a RG and he has a bright future as well. Then landed Suh and Tate in the first two rounds.

I am happy that EA fixed the draft by allowing for more busts and late round gems. Although it seems that you wind up with a lot of busts over gems. Pike is usually garbage for me, but if he goes to someone else, he usually develops into a good starter.

If you ever want to have an easier time re-signing players, try this out:

Take a player from an overloaded position and move him over to a spot where you're trying to re-sign a player, like turning MJ into a center so you have a minimum number of centers. Then take Cook and turn him into a punter, he will become a 12. Re-sing them for as long as you want because their salary will pretty much be a league minimum. Then put him back to center. His rating goes back to normal and you have him for a cheap deal.

It made me think what I would use mine for. No way I would use it for anything other then work. Going to the bar/club made no sense to me. You could even drink a beer if you wanted one. How would the bar make any money if everyone there was a robot? Lmao.

Yeah, it was interesting b/c if that tech existed, why wouldnt we abuse it? It would be pretty cool to control a robot version of yourself that was super strong / fast and couldnt hurt you. I would use if for like 200 MPH motorcycle races, Road Rash style :denny:

Avatar is pretty much Titanic part 2. Both of them are extremely long and seem to be overkill. There's talk how it's going to sweep a ton of awards and all the critics praise it. When you get to the usual movie patron, you'll find people shrugging their shoulders and not saying much about it.

All entertainment is like that. They just dumb it down because people dont want to think. They think all day at work and get home and just want to watch / listen to something mindless. I get it, but c'mon, we need to get these people to demand more and not buy crap!

Honestly, I dont know how its going to be. I was really worried it was going to **** at first, but the more I see, the more I am encouraged.

And speaking of crappy entertainment, I have been waiting years for the Conan reboot, and its finally about to happen and its going to be a terrible movie. They are making just a barbarian movie, versus making a movie with the Conan of the stories who is a deep, intelligent character that they are going to turn into another arnold type conan but even worse :frown:

I like special effects movies when they treat themselves like that. I go into a lot of them expecting nothing more than awesome effects. Like the Transformers movies and even GI Joe, yes I liked it, because I walk in knowing I'm about to watch a long toy commerical. I honestly felt that GI Joe would be nominated for a few Razzies within the first 10 minutes, but I didn't care. I don't go around to friends and others telling them to go see it because it's ******* epic, like Avatar seems to do.

perhaps. The issue is, Wilkus probably wouldnt be in a prequel (if made right) so thats what it shouldnt be next, but you could deal with the issues of them coming, then segragating them from the humans. Maybe more of MNU versus some Alien gangs that are resisting.

Sometimes the following movies will let you down (ie The Matrix) but I have faith in this team to do it right. Hopefully the production studio doesnt get their hands into it too much and mess with their work.

A prequel? Would that mean the aliens are MIA or would the film address the events that took place when they first arrived? Sadly, those questions go unanswered, but if District 9 2 isn’t set in stone, I’d rather not be teased by details anyway.

I just looked up articles on Short Circuit remake (cant trust a VCU :smirk: ) and it said that Wall E 's success was part of the reason for brining back johnny #5.

An awesome movie when I was growing up. About a company that makes robots for various uses. One of them is hit by lightning (Johnny 5) or something then comes alive. So as the movie goes on the robot grows attached to people and the main character (A programmer for the robots) puts him (Johnny 5) through a series of tests and questions and in the end determines that he is in fact alive somehow. Its a good movie Imo. Typical cheesy ending but when I watched it again I still laughed at it. He does a lot of impressions that crack me up.
