1. Jonthan Baldwin, WR-Pittsburgh

Fantasy? Possibly. I don’t care. The bottom line is that TO is here on a 1 year deal and, if we pick up Chad’s option, he’ll only be here for one more year. We need to think about our future. This is looking like a deep year for potential #1 threats. Baldwin is a physical guy and will fight for the ball when it’s up in the air. This guy could become our next Chad.

2. Quinton Carter, S-Oklahoma

I know that Reggie Nelson is out there lighting everyone up. He’s clearly a huge playmaker for us. What’s that? He hasn’t done anything? Okay then, Carter is the kind of safety that Marvin likes. He can play either spot. He can lay down some serious hits. If the ball is in the air, he will go fight for it. Carter could finally give us that influence at safety we haven’t had since David Fulcher.

3. Marcus Gilbert, OT-Florida

We clearly need help on the OL. If Andre can actually become that RT that we need, then Gilbert can put at guard. Bobbie is declining and Otis Hudson looks like a bigger project than Jerome Simpson. We need someone who can come in and help this OL out. Gilbert is solid in both aspects of blocking. Something we have been missing for a while.

4. John Moffit, OG-Wisconsin

Moffit is a guard, but he can also play center. No worries there with Paul Alexander. If we’re not going to play Evan Mathis, then we need to draft Livings’ replacement. With Reggie Stephens’ play in the preseason, and Kyle Cook’s subpar play this season, I can’t see us giving Cook that big of an offer. Stephens takes over and Moffit comes in on the left side. Another guy who can pass block and run block, which is what we need now.

5. Traded for Nelson

2003: Khalid Abdullah, 2004: Maurice Mann, 2005: Adam Kieft, 2006: AJ Nicholson, 2007: Jeff Rowe, 2008: Jason Shirley, 2009: Kevin Huber, 2010: Otis Hudson
Unless we’re taking a specialist, I hope this is the pick that we traded.

6. Owen Marecic, FB-Stanford

This guy also plays LB for the Cardinal. We need a FB out there to help our running game. The use of Leonard and our TEs is not helping opening up running lanes. He can also carry the ball out there and catch some passes off of checkdowns. He can basically take the Jeremi Johnson role from 2005.

This guy also plays LB for the Cardinal. We need a FB out there to help our running game. The use of Leonard and our TEs is not helping opening up running lanes. He can also carry the ball out there and catch some passes off of checkdowns. He can basically take the Jeremi Johnson role from 2005.

7. John Graves, DT/DE-Virginia Tech

Perhaps Cloe can provide some insight on this guy. Tank isn’t looking good out there and his new contract is basically four 1 year deals. I won’t be surprised if we sever ties after this season. Graves can offer us someone who does the whole DE/DT thing that Marvin and Zimmer seem to like.


I know people want to include a new QB, but I just don't see it happening. We have a lot of needs to fill at this time, and we have 6 picks to work with. Then only 3, maybe 4 that will actually do something.

I like it. We are going to have to get someone at WR. As you said our starters are old and TO prob wont be around. I think its a little early to give up on Nelson but we still need a S anyway. Shoot we may need a CB if we dont re sign JJ. Although I guess we have pacman but can we really rely on him? I like taking OL. Always do. Seems like getting a good OT is always better as they can convert to OG and are usually better but maybe thats the Madden in me. :lol:

I am not a fan of taking FBs in the draft just for the fact that they are always out there. Seems like there are no good FBs anymore though. I havent heard of that guy though and Stanford does have a good running game. Seems like FB is just a dying breed. I am old school and want one but we passed on a few FAs that could have helped us this year. Its not working out so great thus far so maybe you are on to something.

Graves is a beast. One of those guys that brings it every game. Not sure if he can get inside pressure in the NFL but moving him around could work. I dont know why we dont start Sims at this point. I agree that Tank just doesnt seem to get much of anything done out there. I would love getting him esp late in the draft. I think he can be one of those Darryl Tapp type players. Not a starter but a good sub guy.

This is what cracks me up with Madden. In Madden 2009 when Whit was our LG, if you convert him to OT, his rating goes down. Then you get Madden 10 when he became our LT, move him to OG and his rating went down. No matter what, he couldn't improve.

It's with Fidelity Investments / 401k's. Everything about the job is better than what I have now. The pay, the benefits, even the building itself. It's out there in N KY, they have a whole campus with several buildings and parking garages, feels like going to a college or something. The whole place is state of the art. They even have a sweet tuition reimbursement program I could take advantage of to get some more schooling under my belt. Going into the interview I was really nervous, but I nailed it. I was calm, cool, charming, and all of that. The only reason I wouldn't get the job is if somebody else interviewing for it is way more qualified than me...which is always a possibility. So now I'm all antsy about it...but I did everything in my power to make it go my way and it's not in my hands anymore. In a week or two I'll find out.

Trust me, my birthdays are usually WAY more boring. I was content with just having the day off to sit on my couch with a few friends and watch 12 hours of football. The older you get the more you stop caring about things like going out and getting wasted or whatever else. A day of peace and quiet is worth more and more as the years add up.

Don't worry, once you get to be about 21 then you can do your whole party phase if you like. I've been there and done that so when I go out nowadays it's really just to try and meet girls or help celebrate events....as I really don't have much fun being in the middle of loud music and clubs anymore. And I don't go to regular/sports bars very often because I like to watch sports the same way I watch movies: quiet, on the couch, and nobody around me talking about random ****.

The Cincinnati commands won the CIFL (central indoor football league) championship in there first year. and only lost 1 game...

We also used to have a minor league soccer team the silverbacks... but i dont know what happened to them either.

we need to run the no huddle more... so far that is the way we have moved the ball why we shy awayfrom it i dont know... our coaching makes no sense.

and benson needs to start pounding the ball like 2009 or we will constantly face 3rd and long.

But i know where all the problems lie... Its because the bengals over marvins tenure have been terrible at drafting Linemen on both sides of the ball we are completely underwhelming in the trenchs... no pass rush... little pass pro (although was getting better) and not getting any push on the Strong side(right side ) of the line... we are running better behind whitworth and livings

i think Livings should move to RG to replace bobby. with Andre coming in. and put mathis back at LG. and see if we can get this line moving...

on D. Odom has disappeared... hopefully feanane comes back soon,

until then play MJ... we arent using him at LB like we said we would so get him (a playmaker) in the game. and pat sims should probly be replacing tank at this point as well.

with so little pass rush the only reason we have been able to stay in games is our Corners.. cause are linebackers are having some problems in coverage too.
