Even though I think it's a hollow threat, I don't see how he could do anything but retire rather than cave on the changes he wants from the franchise. Carson returning would be the nail in the coffin. Look at how people reacted when Marvin returned with his tail tucked. Carson would probably be run out of town with all of the frustration this fan base has built up.

He may very well return, but what fan base hadn't already changed their opinion on him due to game play, half of those remaining are going to have a changed opinion on him by threatening retirement and then not.

That or he actually retires, and I will gain some respect for him if he does, but then his days as the Chosen One are even more-so officially over.

This offseason has become sickening. Now we have to consider drafting a freaking QB this year. I imagine Andrew Luck will be determined to get Stanford to the BcS title game now. That way he'll have plenty of time to see if he'll go back for another year to avoid coming to us.

The North practices are on 11 am EST. Alexander just comes off as a goofy coach. DL Hayes praises all these various pass rushing moves, then we never see them here. Brat still continues to look amazed that he has a job. Marvin telling a DE to not sack the QB. Marvin telling another DE that they're going to try him at OLB, but don't worry because everything will be easy.

I think Carson will be back. Frankly, I don't mind losing Chad, TO or even Palmer. But it really stinks to lose Ced. We will put the franchise tag on JJo and lose him the next year.

Ultimately, I don't think it really makes a difference who we put out there offensively. As long as Brat is calling the plays, they will **** royally.

Maybe it would be a good thing for Cincy if there is no football next season.

The other OL coach told his players not to shimmy and just sit back and wait for the defender to come to you. It cracked me up to hear how these guys differed on this.

Much, much different. Katie's vision is to be on par with Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Katie has lobbied very hard for changes, but Mike is resistant and slow to come around on even the smallest things.

Mike does not believe his scouting dept is that small, because he has always considered coaches to be scouts. He has always thought that coaches make the best scouts.

So, going into this meeting next week and Carson says that he doesn't like the direction of where the offense is going with Bob Bratkowski as Offensive Coordinator, would you be surprised if any changes are made after that meeting? I don't mean to hound you with questions, hopefully you don't mind.
