Would you guys want Chris long, the DE out of Viriginia? I think this kid has a great attitude and a pretty decent motor. I'm not convinced he's worth a first rounder, but if we got him in the 2nd or 3rd I'd be ecstatic!

There is no way he will be there in the second or third. He is projected as a top 10 right now which I think he might slip a litle and end up being around 15 but who knows he could surprise me. I would not mind having this guy if we get rid of Justin Smith. He does not have the motor Justin Smith does or the Run Stopping ability that Smith does but he is alot fast than Smith.

If he goes in the first round, it will likely be because the draft is thin at DE. He's a good player, I just think he's flying under a lot of peoples' radar right now.

Although that's likely to change if they keep talking about him being Howie Long's son!

Flying under the radar? What i do not know why you think that. He is probably one of the higher people have been calling for to get drafted this year by the bengals in the first round. I would be extremely shocked if he goes late in the first round.

Flying under the radar because they aren't playing in the SEC. It seems like all the media types want to do is talk about players in the SEC.

Long doesn't get as much press. In fact, today was the first time I saw a story on him outside of gameday.

He might be a prospect for the bengals, but how many other teams are eyeballing him? In the grand scheme of college football, he could easily slip to round 2. I mean projected first rounders slipped to the second and further last year.

They were talking about him on CBS on Sunday before the football games start. I hear him mentioned all the time on ESPNU. Please explain to me how this is flying under the radar?

Ok, the CBS thing is easily explained because he's the son of a former NFL player. They talked about Jared Payton at one point too.

I don't watch ESPNU, so can't comment on that.

There is a lot of football left to play, people's stock rises and falls all the time. Besides, don't forget the combine, miraculously people's stock rises and falls there too.

Trust me, it's not unheard of for him to drop into the middle of the second.

I hate how the combine has so much influence on the draft. Chris Henry's whole stock was based off his combine performance. He had no better talent than a 6th rounder, but he went right after Irons.

As far as Long is concerned. He could go anywhere, I've seen him in the top-3 and I've seen him go late in the second, and everywhere in between. If we got him, I'd be happy if we selected him because he seems like he could be better than Justin. I also am a fan of him because he can be a DE in a 4-3 or 3-4, and I'm a fan of the 3-4.

I have not seen enough of this guy, but he seems like a beast from the small amount I have seen him.

But I would definitely not take him over Glenn Dorsey or Calais Campbell

Would you take him over George Selvie or Vernon Gholston?

Why does everybody want a 3-4? We do not have the personel to switch to a 3-4. Who would be are Nose Tackle? Are LB are to small to play in a 3-4.

The Bengals should stay with the 4-3 and not go to the 3-4, if the 3-4 was that great everyone would be using it.
