View Full Version : If the Browns won the SuperBowl...

I know you guys like to cry about us talking about our awesome 5 SuperBowl Trophies which signify years of complete domination over several NFL teams including the ones in the division. [:D][:D] [;)]

....

But let me ask you this... for as much talk over our 5 trophies, how do you think the fans of Cleveland would act if the Browns won a SuperBowl?

I'm willing to bet, the combination of team pride, utter hatred of other football teams, and years upon years of NFL depression will make an arrogant ego bomb coctail that would litterly dwarf the enthusiasm of the most obnoxious Steeler fan bragging about 5 rings. I mean I hear about how great the Browns are now from Cleveland fans and their team is horrible! [:D]

Think of it... the Browns.. The Superbowl. The never-ending talk about superiority.

-----

That being said.. I think it would be hilarious if they won a SuperBowl before the Bengals did. Haha... [H]

They'd be all over that stuff! [H] (As they should be!)

Browns winning a Super Bowl, with Charlie Fyre or Brady Quinn at the helm.....I'll see this before that happens.

Bite your tongue,Steely, the Browns fans are ten times worse than Steelers fans based upon the following below.

Threw beer bottles at own players
So full of BLEEP you could pinch them on St Patty's day and the stench produced would gag a donkey.
No matter what they would state they have an awesome team;even if the went 0-16 for the season.
And they would ride that one superbowl win longer than any Bears fan would. (and that's pretty bad)
Let those fans suffer they derserve it.Freakin' BLEEPS can't watch a Bengals game there without returning to your car with a busted window from a break in.

If the Browns won the SuperBowl...
1.) I would do is take a trip to the North Pole and ask Santa why the hell I never got that Electronic Battleship and the Browns can get a got dam Lombardi
2.) I'd sell all my $h!t stained underwear and make a fortne off of bandwagoners who don't know what a Cleveland jersey looks like.
3.) I'd probably be charged with cruelty to animals after throwing all those pigs off the roof convinced that they could fly.
4.) I'd hunt down a poster by the name of Steely J who made this all happen with one of the dumbest "What If" threads ever.
5.) Lastly, I would wake up and log on to the Browns website and realize it wasn't true when the 6 fans on there are still talking about "next year"!

There will be some bengals fans gloatting for a long time. I for one might rub it in for a few weeks, but after that it will just be a fresh breath of air to actually walk into PBS and see a banner waving with the words "World Champions" embroidered on it.

All teams have their share of obnoxious fans but outside of the dallas cowboys i have never seen a more obnoxious bunch than the stains fans and they have been perennial losers for years now. If they win a regular season game against the steelers you would think they just won the super bowl. Even after the bengals won at heinz field last year, the bengal fans rubbed it in but at least you guys knew it was just one game and it was a long season. Yes if hell ever froze over, and the stains won a super bowl i don't think bengals, ravens, or steeler fans would ever hear the end of it. Hell if they win a regular season game against either division rival this year they are on their way to the super bowl. [li]

Ah....to be part of the one of the largest fan bases in the world. Feels good, it really does. I live in Wyoming and I bump into more Steeler fans than either Bronco or Seattle fans (we're about equal distance from both).

Oh, I'd be willing to bet they would. [:P] I've said for a while that Bengals fans cringe at bringing up the past simply because they have nothing to bring up. (except an AFCN title, woo-hoo...) That is, unless it somehow involves possible steroid use by the Steelers in the 70's. Had they won Superbowl XL, I'm certain they'd be bringing it up a lot. Mind you, that doesn't mean EVERYONE on these boards would be doing it. I think the only thing that might hold back some Bengals fans from bringing it up next season would be knowing that Steelers fans would call them on it first chance they got. [H]

This was a fairly good one...for a slow-witted steeler fan. He distracts us with browns talk so he can cleverly try to slip in a dig at the Bengals....and most of you gave him a pass on it.
1. The browns wont win a SB.
2. The Bengals will win one before the steelers get there again.

This was a fairly good one...for a slow-witted steeler fan. He distracts us with browns talk so he can cleverly try to slip in a dig at the Bengals....and most of you gave him a pass on it.1. The browns wont win a SB.
2. The Bengals will win one before the steelers get there again.

And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you snooping kids!

Browns fans don't even need a Superbowl win to act like idiots. They talk about all the championships they won back in 1837 before the merger constantly. and might I add, the Steelers are fat turds.

If the Browns win the SuperBowl.....it won't be this year. Now if the Bengals were to win the SuperBowl this year....I'd NEVER let the Stooler's fans here forget about it EVER. Whenever I needed a good reply, I'd say...yeah but we are the Superbowl Champs, or yeah but we won the SuperBowl since the Stoolers have. You can bet your shirt on it. Besides....MOST of the Stooler's idiots here wouldn't show up here much afterwords anyways......which would be awesome! I'd still rather see the Clowns win it before the Stoolers.
Steely J ... what was that you were saying in your original post about an "arrogant ego bomb cocktail" ... ?
If you're wondering how arrogant Browns fans would be if they ever won it all, Bam Bam was good enough to provide a preview.

I wouldn't say "arrogant ego bomb cocktail". I'd say more like "whiny, delusional little girl with her panties still in a bunch over last year." [H] If this is BengalCheerleader in disguise, I would not be the least bit surprised.
For bambam:
Steelers: 26 Bengals: 17

If you really want to get a brown stain riled up just tell them that there championships of old would only qualify as an AFC Division title in todays world! HA!

So basically if the franchise hadn't done so well, they wouldn't have as many fans.

As far as the whole bandwagon debate goes...personally, I don't really care. A fan is a fan in my eyes, even if only temporary. I'd rather have a football team with bandwagon fans than a team that doesn't even do well enough to have any. [H]

No, the definition of a bandwagon fan is one who jumps on when the team is good, and then jumps back off when they're bad. I'm sure that some of the fans who jumped on in the 70's bailed once that era was over, but in my opinion, the vast majority of us stayed on through the Cliff Stoudt/Mark Malone/Bubby Brister/Kordell Stewart eras.
Granted, that rut wasn't as bad as the decade and a half plus that the Bengals fans suffered through without a winning season, but those were some lean years.

No, it's not...and you, like Sloppy Lombardi Slap, need to learn how to use the quote feature.
I was born in the late 60's, was raised a Steeler fan - and I've been here the whole time. A band wagon fan is a guy that cheers for the team when they win..and disowns them when they lose. I didn't jump off in the 80's, dude.
Not really sure bandwagon fans could roll into Texas Stadium over 20,000 strong. Tony Dungy, prior to the '05 playoff game wouldn't have said, "Don't sell your tickets to Steeler fans" if our fan base was just band wagon.
And, for the record - I was raised in TEXAS in the 1970's and went to school with nothing but Cowboy and Oiler fans. Easy to be a Steeler fan when you grow up in Pittsburgh in the 70's, I understand that - but that's not what I did. I've suffered as much for my team as any Bengal fan has for theirs.

That being said.. I think it would be hilarious if they won a SuperBowl before the Bengals did. Haha... [H]

If the Browns won the SB i would have to wonder who paid the refs more cleveland or pittsburgh [:D]

What an awful thought ... what a horrifying idea ... *shudder*

If the Browns won a SB before the Bengals, life would be miserable ... dark and desolate. Certain parts of Ohio would probably legalize Brown hunting. 'Bag the limit!' billboards would be posted everywhere, no licenses required ... absolutely no decoys prohibitted ... minimum limit must be met (based on number not weight, of course) ... you get the idea.

I just don't like thinking about it.

The Browns did! Oh no, wait..those are the browns of the east...the purple browns. The hex of the mistake by the lake winning a SB before the Bengals is a moot point. The hex revolved around Modell...and he's got a Lombardi. (don't that just bite stain fans, eh???) Cincinnati will be dousing their Lombardi with Tarn-X long before stain fans will remotely get a whiff of a SB...

Its not so much how obnoxious Steeler fans are, which they are, its how they are everywhere. Every corner of the country is full of em. people who have never evan set foot in the state of Pennslyvania claim to be Steeler fans its pathetic. you listen to sirius nfl radio and every other caller is some half-wit giving Adam and Soli excuses for why Ben stunk it up this year and asking why people think Carson palmer is so good.
Evan if you were sent to Indo-china and told to jump out of a bowl of rice so you could pop a cap, there would still be some disgusting moron there ready to say "here we go steelers here we go"

I dont care what you say i would never want our fan base to be like that, it's like dawn of the dead and steeler fans are the zombies.

Ah....to be part of the one of the largest fan bases in the world. Feels good, it really does. I live in Wyoming and I bump into more Steeler fans than either Bronco or Seattle fans (we're about equal distance from both).

Yeah, but also notice who has the most Lombardis. Hmmm...looks like a trend I'd say.

When was the last time you saw a Niners fan?

I live in Utah and I have come accross some niners fans when Im walking on the streets or when Im in restaurants or something....but I must say that there are a lot more Broncos fans than niners fans in Utah. But of course like sloppy lombardi slaps said there are steelers fans everywhere. Even right here in Utah you see kids wearing steelers jackets and steelers hats. I was on the road once and i saw an Idaho lisence plate that had a pittsburgh steelers covering for it. Steelers fans in Idaho??? But I guess that just goes to prove sloppy lombardi slaps point on Steelers fans being in EVERY corner of the U.S.
