Gresham, with Shipley a close second. Dunlap is not far behind.

I actually like Reggie Stephens after reading about him playing center and doing well against competition like Suh etc.

I do not like the Shipley pick. Sorry.

He is a slightly stronger version of Cosby with less speed and a lot less agility. :joe:

I'm sorry, but that's just not correct.

Actually he's the slot guy that everyone wants Cosby to be. I could see Cosby gone with Shipley on the roster.

Tough to say. As far as the talent where a player was picked, Dunlap, Shipley, Ghee and
Briscoe were all great picks.

After watching the press conference i love this draft even more. Ghee has a lot of confidence
and i just like the guy.

Shipley is a cool customer and Dunlap just wants to be great.

To get Briscoe where we got him was a complete steal. He could have been taken in the 2nd
round.

I voted for Shipley though, he will be a great slot reciever for us no doubt and brings more
high character and chemistry to the team.

Ghee- because we play three of the toughest passing teams in the NFL Saints, Colts, and patriots and all of those teams have solid slot WRs.

You say Ghee has a lot of confidence... is this based on his press conference alone?

After he was picked, Mike Mayock said that his biggest problem is that he plays WITHOUT confidence in his own abilities.

shipley too much value in the 3rd round just like briscoe too much value in the 6th round only difference is i am not sure we needed two receivers might have been better taking a safety qb or rb

you think we need a qb? really?

Hard to pick just one.

I guess I'd have to go with Briscoe or Shipley, since I liked them better than any of the other receivers I saw in the draft outside of D. Thomas. Dez Bryant might make us sorry, but I think we got the better player in Gresham. I loved how brat framed his answer to that question in the presser.

I didn't like the Shipley pick either... I went with Ghee because I think he can step in and be the Nickel back we need right away

Hard to choose. I'de go with Shipley. But I'm interested in what Dez, Gresham, Geno, and Dunlap can do...

Tough question. Thing I get a kick out of is that Geno and Otis have the same amount of votes. My favorite thing about the draft was the coaching staff's view of Gresham, so he is my pick. We knew TE was a need, and I think as a group we've been starving for a play making TE, it was just a question of how much they valued and could use that player. Knowing that they valued Gresham as a player above what a guy like Dez or the other players at that spot could offer make me believe that they will get plenty out of Jermaine.

I absolutely love the idea of Chase (if his blocking improves) and Gresham being used in 2TE sets the way the Colts have used guys like Pollard, Clark and a healthy Utecht. I've always loved that formation for balance, tons of play action potential and yards with the zone blocking line and Ced.

So many people voting for Gresham when before there were tons of people against drafting him.

I went with Geno Atkins because I didn't think the Bengals would choose a 3-tech rotational DT. I'm glad they chose him.

I was for Gresham from the start and that's why I sayed with him on this poll. My mock had Atkins with 3C so I'm almost equally happy with that. He will really help out with the pass rush and provide quality depth at DT.

Truth be told, though, the pick that I love is Shipley. Too often in the past the Bengals have drafted guys with measurables who couldn't play (a certain WR currently on the roster comes to mind, but there have been many others). All Shipley does is make plays, over and over. The play on his highlight tape making like Superman on a fake field goal sealed the deal for me.

I like the Gresham pick a lot, but for me he went where he was supposed to so it was sort of +/- value wise.

Dunlap on the other hand I see becoming a great player for us who I feel should have gone in the 1st round.
So just by that, I go with him here.

We don't have any depht at QB.

Would be nice to have someone developing behind Carson.
Briscoe was good value in the 6th, but could also have used the pick on Tony Pike.

I think Shipley will reap the rewards of defenses attention paid to Ocho, Bryant, and Gresham. Jordan has numerous first downs written all over him with his crisp route running skills. I was not a fan of the pick when it happened, but starting think this could have been the most important seleciton in this year's Bengal draft

I agree. I think we need someone to develop behind Carson. Pike would have been a good one.
