With Culpepper being officially released and Vick being officially indicted, is Dante doing the dirty bird almost an easy call. The only problem is that Culpepper's strong suit is the long ball and the Falcons don't really have anybody that can stretch the field.

No, he goes to Jax, a perfect fit for him.

Jax only sounds good because of Tice, Daunte stillwants a chance to start, even if his chance is only cosmetic, no way he goes behind 2 potential starters. IMHO

Yeah I'm not sure about Culpepper. I mean if he was good to go this year the Dolphins would have kept him and not bothered with Green... There's gotta be more serious problems with his knee that we know of for a franchise to release "their man" just a year after the fact.
Culpepper may be done in the NFL...

I don't think he's done persay, but I think he's done as a starter. I think a club that needs a backup would give him a look - if the money were right.
People thought Batch was done, too. Ended up being a great backup for us.
Longevity - at the QB position - seems to be in the mans ability to adjust to different offenses quickly and the experience it takes to read and pick apart defenses.
A QB that's established just on his legs and his mobility has a limited shelf life in the NFL. At some point, you have to adapt and start being more of a pocket passer - Warren Moon did a good job at that....but most QB's that are legs only don't go for too many years. Culpepper's days as a starter are done (IMHO), McNabb is soon to be on the way out (they drafted a QB in Philly), Kordy was ousted for Maddox (more of pure pocket passer, and an ancient one at that) and Vick....well, let's all HOPE he never plays another down after pitting dogs against one another. And let's be honest...he was never all that good in the NFL. Great with his legs - he's one of the leading rushers in the NFL - but he has trouble beating you with his arm on a consistant basis.

In JAX, Culpepper would be behind Leftwich and Garrard. In ATL, he would only be behind Vick now that Schaub is in HOU. And with Vick facing federal charges, he could start there very soon.
