I thought we were set in 2005 drafting Pollack and Thurman
Justin Smith will be leaving.
Willie Anderson is about done.
We need linebackers, defensive ends and offensive linemen.
Those areas need drafted hard with all out draft picks. We stink on defense and we need to be able to block better. A lack of linebackers is also hurting our special team tackling.

We need to be as aggresive as we can in free agancy given our cap situation but no doubt this won't happen. Drafting the best d lineman or linebacker available is a must in the first round. If we can't keep Stacy Andrews then we have to look at a long term replacement for Willie at some point as well.

We need to draft DT-DE-LB and then get a OL.

well if we end up gettin 2 3rd rounders like i expect then i say we go for the best available dlinemen or LB in the first, altho i think id rather have dline in the first, but u take whoever is best available. Then in the 2nd best available Dline or LB again depending on who u took earlier, then in the 3rd, if we dont resign andrews then i say we take an olineman and a LB or pass rusher, if we do resign andrews, id like to see a TE instead of oline

Well, I guess we're going to be getting more messages on the Draft thread now...
The rest of this season is an audition to see who stays and who goes. The questions outnumber answers.
Can we count on Kenny Irons rehab, or do we need another back?
Do we replace Justin with a speedy 4-3 pass rusher or a 3-4 DE bulldozer?
With Stacy Andrews as an RFA and Willie gimpy, do we take another O lineman early?
How much is it going to cost to keep Housh? Does he get Steinbached?
If Ahmad Brooks, Eric Henderson, Robert Geathers, and Landon are all healthy, which they will be by next year, is linebacker a first day need?
Who comes in to fill the CB pipeline behind Hall and Joseph. Deltha is probably gone.
It's a good thing we have lots of picks in '08.

I think you have to take linebackers in this draft, considering what happened to us this year with injuries...And 2 questions which were not prompted were, Pollack and Thurman....? Will they be back, or cut ties?

What about Mr. Bresnahan? Can we draft a replacement for him or would that be a different thread? Sorry Chuck fans I just want the D to be stable and effective and it hasn't been for a while. All the draft picks in the world do not a defense make.

I think Delta will be back just one more year.
They got to have a few vets and the have to many holes to fill to add another one.
They would get almost 1, 800, 000 cap space if they cut him but also 400,00 in dead money.
WHHOOOO! NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD MONEY
can't spend whoooooooooo can't spend Mike Brown loves cap money he can not spend.
Yeah I know; I 'm hopeless.

Just because there is 400,000 in dead money does not mean that we will not cut him that would leave us with 1,400,000 and i think Marvin likes Blue Adams so he would be are third so it would actually save us a bunch of money.
