Assuming taking a DT or DE with the first round picks, are there any Tight Ends that could be drafted in round 2 or 3 that could make a difference.

Jacob Tamme TE/Kentucky
Martin Rucker TE/Mizzu
John Carlson TE/Notre Dame
ergh thats all I can think of.
Beckum if he goes out this year, would be a first rounder for sure.

I'be a fan of picking up a TE, but considering that Coates is our "pass catching" TE and we barely use him, I don't anticipate in picking one up in the draft.
However, I definitely I won't object to drafting one.

Do the Bengals not throw to the TE because they do not have one or because Brat has limited play calling ability or both.

It's a little of both. We've never seemed TE friendly since Brat became our OC. To go along with that, Kelly is a blocking TE 1st and pass catching 2nd. The league is getting thin at TEs that can be good catchers and solid blockers.
Of course, I'm on board with canning Brat and promoting Zampese.

I agree Brat just is not getting the job done anymore but we wont draft a TE i think Marvin likes Coates.
