When it came our time to draft in the 1st round, It was Cincinnatis on the board. Cincinnati with its 9 arrests and its suspensions. Cincinnati that the league went to and asked the owners, what can we do to help. ......That was the story all through the draft......It might have helped. The Bengals skipped over some troubled players and went for players with good character. We didn't take an Eric Wright as Cleveland did, and when Cleveland took him, one announcer said that they would have to have a coach watch him night and day. Marvin Lewis is tired of babysitting these guys. He wants guys that really want to play this game. .......That said, I like our picks and in the 7th round, 2 players from Notre Dame and Charlie Weiss. Earlier a player from Texas Christian. Values.... Character....Players.....no more babysitting. ....Had we drafted Wright, The NFL would have went crazy. They would have been all over us. ....I think we had a good draft this way.

I understand the argument but we have earned it. I hate the fact that everytime the Bengals name is mentioned on TV there is a comment or a joke about arrests. I think that if we can keep our noses clean this year some of the jokes may start to go away. We know that we will get killed if we have one more guy cross the line from the straight and narrow.

I'm tired of it being a joke. I would rather people to think ofthe team as criminals that will rip your head off than the "troubledbuys" the media wants us to be.
