Okay... wow... your statement tells it all.
Bengals fanbase are like... well... a dog that's been abused for over 20 years. You know, the kind that cowers and flinches all the time because its owner has been beating it for years.
To Bengal fans, the acceptance of losing has become systemic. It's everywhere - in the team, in the management, in the fanbase. Winning is a luxury that comes far and few between.
No wonder people buy season tickets every year. They just don't realize it's possible to root for a team who actually wins games. Most Cincy fans think that going to see a pro football game is watching the visiting team beat their team, right? I mean, that's really the expectations, huh?
And Mike Brown has gotten rich doing this, huh?
Who says the middle ages have come and gone! Clearly the King (Mike Brown) has been amply supported by his peasants (Cincy Fans) so that he has a comfortable life.
Makes me want to watch... "Camelot". <_<

Betcha' it won't happen!
Bengal fans will continue to buy season tix and luxury boxes.
Even with Carson gone.
Even with a new OC that could be the return of Dave Shula instead of Bill Walsh.
Even with all that because the owner of the Bengals... DON'T CARE! He could care less what the fans do! He'll make money no matter what. And he'll force the county to raise taxes to pay for his father's Stadium. He's totally screwing over the fans, the county, and the entire city of Cincinnati and YET the people continue to... TOLERATE IT!
I'm not sure whether the people of Cincinnati are spineless or stupid or both! <_<

I hate the color orange and... the Bengals uniform is full of orange. In fact most of my friends refer to the Bengals as "Pumpkin Heads" because with their helmets on, they look like pumpkins.
I've always loved the Colts. Ever since I saw how cool those horseshoes looked on that helmet when I was 6 years old.
I can't imagine being a Bengal fan.
Then again, I can't imagine being in Hell either.

Dude... this is where you're wrong about me.
I don't hate the Bengals... I actually LIKE them! I like to see them on the schedule when the Colts play them because that translates to an easy win, get it?
I respect the Steeler and Ravens because... they can actually beat the Colts. When I see THEM on the schedule, I get a bit nervous. Get it now?
I don't think the Bengals helmet is cool at all. But that's just me, personally. I've heard others say the helmet looks cool, but I don't. Orange stripes just don't do it for me. Makes me wonder why the Jaguars helmet doesn't have jaguar spots on them.

That's just it. I can't answer the question because the Colts haven't stunk in 9 years.
THIS PAST SEASON was the closest the Colts came to stinking because of all the injuries, but... they didn't! Even WITH the injuries, they made it to the playoffs.
I just don't see the Colts stinking it up until after Peyton retires. Even then, they may have found someone to replace Peyton and the excellence will then continue.
Even if they stink for a few years, I won't abandon them because they'll bounce back.
Guaranteed.

Unlike YOUR QB - Carson Palmer - who'd rather retire than play another game as a Bengal. The Bengals must really blow as a team if the franchise QB, who's getting a lot of money, would rather retire and forfeit all that money than play another game as a Bengal. That's pretty sad. Au contraire, since Palmer refuses to have the Tommy John surgery which everyone knows he needs, this is the first step in moving on. Mike Brown will probably crap the bed and force him into retirement, which will save him 50 mill,
instead of trading for whatever little they could get, probably a 3rd and 5th rounder. Change is a damn good thing for us since continuing with Palmer is pointless.
However, Ruffiesbergers knees will go in a year or two...scrap heap city. He's already got the knees of a 35 year old QB...only a matter of time before someone blows him up on a ogre o-line failure up the middle.
Anyone with eyes can see that Manning, who's going to be 35 is already on his last year or two of decent production...NFL AARP card is in the mail. He'll be pimping TV's full time soon.

Elway was still throwing frozen ropes and could still run and throw out of makeshift pocket.
He also had a great offensive line which the colts no longer have.
Manning is closer to selling freezer pops and could never run, let alone play under center or maneuver out of trouble to find a receiver.

Lol... not so fast, dude!
How old was Elway when he last won a Superbowl?
Manning's in better shape than Elway was at the same age.
As I said in a previous post, Manning's got a good 4 years left in him - at least. Could be more, depending on how often he gets hit or not.
Bengals, on the other hand, are SCREWED... right NOW!
Right now, dude! Not 4 years from now... but NOW!
RIGHT NOW!
:rotf:
How so? We're more screwed with a QB who can't hit a 10 yard slant or a FB out of the freaking back field. Keeping him at QB is screwed now, if you don't see that then I can see why you blindly think Manning can still do it. He was barely better than Palmer...your D helped you limp into the playoffs where manning exhibited his C-H-O-K-E.
Funny thing is you'll keep him and watch the Texans and Jags pass you by.

Elway was still throwing frozen ropes and could still run and throw out of makeshift pocket.
He also had a great offensive line which the colts no longer have.
Manning is closer to selling freezer pops and could never run, let alone play under center or maneuver out of trouble to find a receiver.
Are you seriously that blind that you can't see, or is it you can't see the forest for the trees?
It's you that's blind.
Did you watch the highlights of that last game the Colts had with the Jaguars? Peyton.. RAN for 18 yds! It was the funniest thing too 'cuz he slid at the 2 yd line instead of getting a touchdown because he just wanted to run the time out for the win. The announcers, by the way, thought that was a class move by him instead of just getting the TD and running up the score.
Just because Peyton CHOOSES not to run or move around in the pocket much doesn't mean he CAN'T!
The Colts know he's getting older, so they're getting some kind of run game implemented in the offense so Peyton isn't throwing that much. But you wouldn't know that 'cuz you never watch Colts games.
That's okay... you just go on ahead and keep watching your Bengals scour the cellar of the NFL.

Carson has one for sale.
I like Carson and all, but I think that is such a pathetic move. If you sign a contract you need to honor it. If you don't honor it, what's the point in signing one to begin with? He had no problem signing it years ago for $100 million. He shouldn't have signed such a long contract if he didn't want to play the whole time. He can't tell me he just woke up one day and said, "My god the Bengals are bad. I want out of here." They've been bad for 20 years. I hope they don't trade him, he retires and next year the Bengals win the Super Bowl. I would laugh my butt off.

How many TD's did manning have? ZERO?
Palmer was indys mvp, throwing 3 picks which accounted for 17 of the colts 23 points.
manning and the vaunted colts managed 2 field goals against the bengals so the question is do we **** that bad or do you?
even throwing 2 picks palmer managed 2 td passes and threw for over 100 more yards.

The reason the Colts played so badly last season was because... we were basically playing our backup players. It was Peyton and a bunch of backups because... well... all of the 1st stringers were injured. No Dallas Clark, no Austin Collie, no Joe Addai, none of those guys. Just Blair White and Jacob Tamme and a bunch of other backups who - considering they're backups - played well. So basically, the Bengals 1st stringers played the Colts 2nd stringers and... I almost forgot about the jags being in the central for a few years...better now with the 8x4 format.

Getting in the Superbowl is an achievement in an of itself. At least the Colts made it. How'd the Bengals do in the playoffs that year, huh?
Oh yeah... didn't they lose to the Jets 2 weeks in a row? That's right. I remember now. The same Jets the Colts beat in the AFC Championship game.
Peyton's due a couple of more Superbowl rings. Stop by and look the trophies at Lucas Oil next time you travel there to watch the Bengals get another butt-whuppin'.
Well then the Bengals have been to as many as the indy colts have. As I stated before, you were not nor have you ever been a Baltimore colt fan. You only started rooting for them when they fled to indy. We know our problems with MB but when the colts have issues they flee to another town. Wait till indy falls off the map and all you bandwagon fans quit going to the stadium, he will threaten to pull up stakes and leave, just as they did in baltimore.

Glad you have finally admitted that now, they have won only 1. Does not matter now to me what you say, the Bengals have made it to the show twice and came away empty handed. I can say that at least we did not lose to a mediocre team and if we could have won our second it would have been against the best for that era. You don't think 12-13 million dollars could aquire a couple of good free agents ?
I could put you at QB and deliver.
If a coach puts together a gameplan that makes use of his players individual talents, they can succeed.
Brat forced players to accept his system, which caused much of the problem.
So with the extra $$$ and (God help us) proper coaching, I hardly see us being "MORE screwed", without Carson.
Besides, we are infinitely screwed with having Mikey boy as an owner, so how could it be worse.

Unlike YOUR QB - Carson Palmer - who'd rather retire than play another game as a Bengal. I was trying to keep you from embarassing yourself, but since you insist... here... let me tell you... come closer... ssshhh... don't tell anybody okay?
The reason the Colts played so badly last season was because... we were basically playing our backup players. It was Peyton and a bunch of backups because... well... all of the 1st stringers were injured. No Dallas Clark, no Austin Collie, no Joe Addai, none of those guys. Just Blair White and Jacob Tamme and a bunch of other backups who - considering they're backups - played well. So basically, the Bengals 1st stringers played the Colts 2nd stringers and... STILL LOST!
OMFG!
The Bengals LOST to the Colts backups!
And... you're proud of that? <_<
But but but, I thought the second stringers were hungry and looking to prove themselves.
Yet another example of you talking out of both sides of your mouth. When it suited you during the season, the 2nd stringers were an asset because they were hungry and looking to make their mark, but in this argument, the 2nd stringers are now a liability. So which is it?

Carson does blow, I've never changed my mind about that.
However, that does NOT mean the Bengals will blow LESS without Carson. Without Carson, the Bengals will blow, much, much more. They could end up 0-16 several seasons in a row. Thus setting the NFL record for most futile of teams.
But... I guess you'll find out, won't you? Because Carson is DONE as a Bengal.
To me, the biggest problem is that your HC is inept and your owner is stupid. Both are still there and entrenched for at least a couple of years. That has all the earmarks of 2 0-16 seasons back to back.

So what youre telling us is the Bengals would be better off with a QB who doesnt want to be there anymore. He would be a more effective option than another veteran QB, or a high draft pick rookie...both of whom who would be happy to have a team to be playing for. Cant argue with that logic.
First of all, the Bengals will not be better off without Palmer. Even though Palmer blows, at least if he's your QB, he can at least lead the Bengals to 3 or 4 wins. Without him, it's an 0-16 season.
Secondly, you and I both know that Mike Brown would never do anything as smart as get a decent veteran QB. He's both CHEAP and STUPID. He's been cheaping out the team for 20 years. What makes you think he's going to change now? Have you seen the economy? It's pretty bad right now! There's no way Mike Brown is going to pay good money for anything. So whatever QB the Bengals pick up, you can pretty much guarantee it's going to be on the cheap. Which means whoever it is will be a bottom feeder or someone washed up and on his last legs. Again... that will translate to an 0-16 season.

Im just pointing out your inconsistencies...of which there are many. While colts players were going down and being replaced by the 2nd stringers, you claimed that they had the fight and hunger to prove themselves. Now that they colts got eliminated quickly in the playoffs, you change your tune. First the scrubs were a strength, and then they became just another one of your excuses.
You should really keep better tabs of all the BS you spew on here so you quit contradicting yourself
You don't think that 2nd stringers playing hard enough to get their team to the playoffs is a strength? To me, that's impressive. I never realized the Colts had such depth. Every Colts fan I know is excited about that. After CBA, I'm going to be reading up on everything related to the Colts.
Let me ask you this... if the Bengals played their 2nd stringers, where do you think they'd end up? You think they'd win the AFC North and make it to the playoffs?
I've never changed my tune about the Colts 2nd stringers. I think they were hungry and they proved themselves. Especially Blair White and Jacob Tamme. Now Caldwell can give Austin Collie and Dallas Clark a rest if he needs to and rotate in Blair White and Jacob Tamme as needed.

Man, I used to defend you, but you've actually taken steps to make yourself as bad as SFB, you really are trying get us to make you so mad you finally snap and go on a killing spree, aren't you?
That's my new theory. Coltsfan wants to kill people, but he can't bring himself to do it. Instead he's going to post stupid crap over and over again until we make fun of him so much he HAS to go on a killing spree. I mean, then no one could blame him right?
B)
Why do you think I want to kill people? I've never mentioned wanting to kill people. Maybe... YOU want to kill people! Is that it? You're starting to get unstable and this is one of the very first posts you're making before getting unhinged?

Okay... wow... your statement tells it all.

Sanders isn't the Colts and apparently the Colts felt the same way "I" did because they just let him go.
Leave the analysis of the Colts to Colts fans, dude. You barely understand your own team, never mind a team that's a perennial winner.
The same way you did:lol::lol::lol:
You said he had ability in one sentence and then trashed him in another.

You had better go analyze your own post before shooting down others.

He does.
But.. the Bengals are less screwed with him as QB.
But now that he's leaving... the Bengals will be even MORE screwed!
That's good news for the rest of the AFC North and the AFC in general, including my Colts since we play the Bengals this upcoming season.
Bengals are... SCREWED! But easy "W"'s for the rest of us!
I used to respect the Colts and their fans. Not any more.

Dude... you better learn to read. I've never flip-flopped on Sanders. He has the ability to be an elite safety... WHEN HE'S HEALTHY AND ON THE FIELD! However, he gets injured so much that his impact the last 2 years have been minimal. In addition, because he's missed so many games, I truly believe that his skills have diminished substantially. You can't miss that many games and not have it affect you. I think everyone suspected it and finally, the owner decided he wasn't going to pay Sanders another season to get injured and sit on the bench. So, yeah, I agreed with him being cut. Most Colts fans weren't surprised by this move. I actually wanted it. When he got injured at the beginning of the season, I was one of the fans who wanted him cut.

I can't believe you actually have to ask this question. Have you read your posts?

I thought every stealer fan here(including stealerfan4ever) thought palmer s ucked? By your logic we should be improved without Palmer, correct?
I think a new QB would be a step in the right direction for the Bungals. Especially considering Carson wants to move on. How effective can he be if he wants out?

This would have probably got more hits from Bengal fans if Carson was selling a double wide.
