To me this show used to be golden, but just like Prison break a lot of ideas are running out and they are running out fast.
I have not even seen a commerical for Lost probably for about a month(credited that I work Wed nights) and I thought it got pulled off the air, but nope I hear that is still a strong power house in ratings and that they are bringing it back for a 3rd and possible 4th season!
How can they even continue something like this? It is almost the same thing over and over and they are running out of ideas but yet people watch this crap.
? is.. will anyone ever get off the island of Lost?

Since you have not watched you, you have missed quite a bit. Actually last week a lady had her helicopter crash and she parachuted to the ground. After having her life saved she is told that the people are the survivors of Oceanic flight 818 (or whatever flight they were on) and she said that was impossible. She said the plane was found and there were no survivors. So I would say that things are starting to pick up again after a little bit of a lull.

I know it may sound strange but I am addicted to this show. I can not not watch it. I dont know what it is that every week when its over I cant wait to see the next episode. In my opinion the only other show that I feel that way about(unless its on BFL Network,ESPN,ESPN2, you get the idea) is Jericho. To me me it is one of the best shows on in years. It really is ingenious. Its kinda of a hodge podge of other shows but amazing nonetheless.

Really? So my ? is are they all really dead and kind of stuck in a pergatory? Or is she just one of the others.
The only thing I am saying is, some of the big characters need to bite the dust... soon.

I've watched this show since the first season, and it was rather addictive. I made it a point to watch every week, and even enjoyed watching episodes over again on the DVDs. I was even more entranced by finding clues and such in everything.
that being said, this season has annoyed me. Its just like the writer's were like "Crap.... Um we didn't really think we would make it to 3 season. We aren't really sure what to do anymore. Um.... LET's try this!" and ever since things have just made less and less sense. As much as they claim to solve things, they make them 10x worse.
The one that annoys me the most? oh there is a second island that no one managed to notice. OH THAT ISLAND! I thought you were talking about some other second island. The hatch thing just disappeared entirely. If it was so easy to just null out the ""dangerous energy" in the hatch by turning a key, why the hell didn't they do it sooner. The Jack, Kate, Sawyer love triangle gets dumber and dumber by the minute. plus they introduce characters now just to kill off. ugh
yeah I gave up watching it. i might try to catch up when the dvd comes out, but i really could care less Atm. The first 30 minutes of Lost take up my weekly South Park, which I find far more entertaining.

I think that Lost had some trouble last season with writing and the direction the show was going to take but I believe that they have decided upon a direction and the season seems to be heading a particular way.

The problem with "Lost" - much like "Prison break" (Glad you brought that show up) is that you can only take it so far before the well runs dry.
If they get off the island, the series is over. Have to start a new series called, "Found". (?)
Just for a lark....I'd have the crew of "Lost" find the remnants of a boat called, "Minnow".

Well I think I found the whole thing of it. I think they all are dead and are stuck in a pergatory, so when one dies they either go to heaven.. or well the other place. So I think that is what is happening and Prison Break deserves to be cancelled I mean how much more can you do honestly?

I watched Lost last night and I think that thay are methodically (not slowly) bringing all the questions that we as viewers have had together finally. I love all the connections betweent he people on the plane. Like Sawyer and John. Still trying to figure out what the "others" are all about and why they are waiting for someone so "special".
As far as Prison Break goes, this show does what all good shows should, it picks up at the beginning of the hour and starts solving the problem that you were left with the week before and by the time the show is almost over, BAM, another twist that leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat. Each episode is like a mini season finale! Usually only season finales get to use the cliffhanger (something I would like to see more of in tv) but this show utilizes the cliff hanger in a great way. Yes, Link is a free man but there are other people still out there. Mary Cruz is still kidnapped and they have to use Bellick to get her back. Michael, being the person that he is, can't just let all this take place since he was the one that started all this in the first place.
Great show and if you don't like it I will punch you in the nose!! LOL

the premises of the show was great...i watched the first 10 mins of the show when it premiered.....after the plane crash and people were walking around with minor scratches etc. (anyone who has ever seen or worked a plane crash of any kind know how unrealistic this one was) well i turned the channel because of how fake it was.
Then as time went on hearing about the things that were happning on lost I was glad i didn't waste my time on the silly show....so personally i could care less if the members get off the island or the island is used as a nuclear test site for north korea....either way it's a waste of prime time television
Now you want to talk about a great show....The Office!!!!!

And just to put a kink in the plot, they should have Kate pregnant since I'm sure they either are out of birth control on the island by now, or they never had any to begin with. These are the things that keep me up at night! [:O]

No, see that violates TV rule #34-b:
No attractive main character can become pregnant, nor induce pregnancy, unless said pregnancy is required for predetermined story line or to boost ratings via plot twist.

See there are a lot of flaws to the show, nobody would be well kept clean shaven, they all would look like the guys from the Gieko Commericals. That that semi makes it unbelievable.
Jack is getting some BTW by that blonde girl. He has to be.
Killing Mr. Eko was so dumb they need to kill Locke, Jack, Charlie, Jin, Jun ect.
ALSO I love it how they had to throw the food plot in there because HUrley can't lose weight so they had to throw them finding food in there.

who says he is a ghost? Could he have evolved beyond the basic human form as we know it? After all the Island is a strange place that has done the impossible time and time again. Seeing him as a ghost is your way of associating him with something that you are familiar with and the Island is full of things we are not familiar with. Just an observation.

See, I thought someone like you ghost (a mystery writer) would find this show intriguing. The way that everyone is interconnected somehow, the fact that a lot of the story lines pay homage to many great writers like Stephen King, Agatha Christie, and Victoria Silvestedt playmate of the year.
I for one think this season of LOST is the best of the three... the show is actually scheduled to run 3 more seasons of 16 shows after this one. I couldn't be more excited. I was a big fan of Alias, (written and created by the same people) and when it got cancelled and cut short, they had to BS a quick ending and answer to all the mystery looming around. Even the creators said that fans of Alias got cheated.
They have actually scheduled an end date for the series so they can focus on the whole story. They actually don't have the whole thing written, but they have milestones each character reaches, etc. I am totally enthralled with what is happening right now on this show. What I want to know... who is Jacob, why can he only be seen by some people. Why is Locke so special? I don't trust Rousseau (the french woman) and think she has a very dark past!! Is there anyone from the DHARMA Initiative still on the island, or do they even know that the hostiles took over and killed everyone that belonged to the initiative?
Just so many questions right now... the thing I like about this show is that they don't spoon feed answers all the time. There is always something to specualte about, and the unknown is the greatest part of this show. The more I find out about these people, the island, etc, the more I want to know.
As compared to Prison Break (which I was a fan of, they should have ended it after this season)... I think LOST is far from Jumping the Shark. The great thing, is that the writers say all the mysteries on this show can be explained thru science, or pseudo-science (not sci-fi, there is a difference), and that everything has a logical explanation.
Check out this site for lost trivia, spoilers, etc http://darkufo.blogspot.com (http://www.darkufo.blogspot.com/) or another page of the same site http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com it is the most comprehensive site about the mystery of LOST, and could catch anyone up that may be behind, or has never watched the show, and would like to catch up.
Also, I believe the hour before the season finale... which I think is on the 23rd of May, will be a catch up show as well. It will go from start to finish about the story lines of the show, and delve into some of the mystery.

You are right... they have been there 90 days. Each season covers about a months worth of time. This seasons finale should take place on x-mas eve.
someone said Kate should be pregnant... you are right, I think she is, since male sperm count is 5 time higher on the island. This should make a lot of you happy since pregnant women who conceived on the island die at the end of their 2nd trimester, she is doomed!

What really ***** about Lost is the fact that it will be on for three more seasons, but each season will only be 3-4 months long. The producers recently stated that it will go through 2010, that being the last season, however each season will only be from 12-16 episodes leave an awful lot of down time.

I loved it last night! I guess it all depends on how you look at it. If you look at the flash forwards as a direct result of what they just did on the island then it leads you to believe that they get off the Island and Jack is miserable. He comes to the realization that he should have stayed on the island for some reason. Maybe when they get off the Island everyone starts to die.
Also, maybe the flash forward could change depending on what happens from this point on with Locke and the rest of the crew. Remember that Jack and the rest of the group will be receiving news that the ship off the coast isn't what or who they think it is so that may change alot. I am looking forward to seeing how all the situations play out!
On a side note, I loved that Hurley ending up being the hero and driving in there with the VW Bus. That made me laugh my arse off!

So, Turk you would agree that they may be flashes forward??? The one thing that threw me off was when Jack said, call my father down here and see he is more drunk than I am. Of course his father is dead. I dont know what to think. I was up for 2 hours after the show trying to analyze all of the scenarios in my head.

Well we know that Jack and Kate didn't know one another before the idland due to their interactions in the past. So when they meet up at the airport that made me believe that the they were flashes forward. Also, we know that from the flash they have already been to the island because Jack tells us he has to get back and that he made a mistake. The part about his father confused me as well. I also want to know who died that had Jack so upset.

I think that the person that dies has to be either Sawyer or Locke. Doesnt it have to be? Neither really had any family nor friends. I'm leaning towards Sawyer. Why else would Jack call Kate and say that he was sorry before he tried to jump off the bridge. Also Jack had made mention of Sydney. But why was he flying Oceanic??? Would you ever fly w/ a company that planes wrecked that you were on? But he did say his Gold card. Did they give him and all survivng members a Gold card?? Also what about Kate?? She was wanted by the law and was being brought back as a fugitive. They certainly wouldnt just let her walk away because the plane crash????
