Why is Geoff Hobson the only person who writes articles on bengals.com?

I do not know the answer. I figured this is how most teams web sites were but I do not know for sure. Going on other teams sites and seeing their logos, colors etc usually makes me feel sick!

He isn't the only one, but he is the most prolific. I would wadger that the reason is that his years of dedicated service made him very trusted in the organization. That and you can tell that he is a fan himself, which makes him a natural liason between the organization and the fans.

It's not like I have any problem with Geoff or his writing, I just thought, like anything in life, it is always nice to have more than one perspective and opinion on any given team, story, rumor, analysis, prediction, etc. etc.
It almost seems like he has a monopoly on any and all information posted on the website this side of the message boards.

I understand your point, but ultimately regardless of who is writing the columns the information is going to be the same. The message won't change, just the way it is presented to you. The front office controls what they want put out there to the public, if they don't want a certain piece of content out there, then no one is going to put it out there, even if there was someone else besides Hobson.

I actually wouldn't go that far about Hobson.....the one great thing about Hobson is this, although he is employed by the bengals now he hasn't changed his perspective.....he writes things that the front office wishes he didn't many times....he and Marvin have an ongoing give and take. Marvin isn't always real happy with the stuff Hobson writes but Hobson writes it anyway. This is a fact, so I actually applaud Geoff for not writing only fluff pieces.
