Alright, since I've been browsing these for boards for awhile I decided to finally register and make my first post a mock draft.

First things first, assuming our idiot Owner/GM/Whatever decides to grow the balls and make change we target a top level free agent. I would love to see us sign Albert Haynesworth. If not the best run stopper in the NFL and will anchor our defensive front that we will be building through the draft.

Prized Off-Season Pick-Up: Albert Haynesworth, DT.

Mock Draft.

1. MLB, James Laurinaitis, Ohio State
2. DE, Lawrence Jackson, USC
3.OLB, Shawn Crable, Michigan
3.(Compensatory Pick for Steinbach) OT, Chad Rinehart, Northern Iowa
4.FS, Bobbie Williams, Bethune-Cookman
5.OG, Robert Felton, Arkansas
6.DT, Chris Norwell, Illinois
7.WR, Jason Rivers, Hawaii

5 Undrafted Free Agents I would love us to bring into camp:
TE, Robbie Agnone, Deleware
DE, Xavier Mitchell, Tennessee
OT, Breno Giacomini, Louisville
SS, Marcus Watts, Kansas State
WR, Luke Swan, Wisconsin

Comment are appreciated, I'll see you guys around.

First the Little Animal might not declare but with them being in the national championship that makes it more likely.

The second pick is really good nothing to complain there.

i dont not like the Crable pick he should be going later. I think we need a O-line but i do not no much about that guy.

the 4 threw the 6 are good picks.

I reallly like the 7th pick he would be great.

I would be happy with this and even happy if we get haynesworth

Thanks for the response. Yeah, and hopefully when James Laurinaitis lifts the crystal football he will declare.

I want to say yes i hope when he does that he declares but then again i would love to see him as a bengal and if he declares this year we might not be able to get him depending on how we finish out the season.

Hopefully we get a Top 10 pick. I can see him being a Patrick Willis this year. A Top 10 pick but the teams in the Top 10 has greater needs. And then by chance, the 49ers get the next great linebacker.

I keep hearing that New England would take him but i do not see that happening.

Yeah, especially since it looks like New England will be getting a Top 3 pick. I think they would be be more interested in trading down to 5-10 then using the #3 pick. Thats what I would do. I was **** two 1st rounders out of a team and a 2nd and 5th for the #3 pick If I was New England.

You know, I am very surprised to see that you are well educated in the NFL draft, and I actually look forward to seeing you post more. For this being the 1st 7 round mock, I give you Rep points, I like some of your points, some I don't, but that is why we talk NFL draft.

Obviously I'm a USC guy and if you've seen some of my other posts I really want us to pick Ellis if he is available in the first round because I can honestly say he's the real deal. If we get Haynesworth then I'd understand not picking Ellis or Dorsey in the 1st but I doubt we'll get Haynesworth.

As for Lawrence Jackson, again I love my SC players but I have some concern about him. He's very inconsistent. He'll disappear for games at a time and then break out with a 4 sack performance - often against not the best offensive line. We need to use a high pick on a DE so if he's the best available then I say go for it but he scares me a bit.

If we get Haynesworth then I would take one of the first round DE's and look at LB in the 2nd or 3rd round

I have realized that you really like Ellis and he is a great player and while help out the team he goes on probably but i am not sure he would make a good fit with the bengals. If we keep Justin. Ellis would be a better pick than Dorsey.

Why would he be a better pick if we keep Justin, I'm not following your logic.

That's interesting. Seems like he may be destined to be a # 2 DE in the NFL...or not? I know Jackson's stock has dropped considerably as compared to a a year/year and a half ago, but I don't get a chance to watch much USC football.

I have seen Ellis give up on a few plays and if Justin was there he would have to keep going no matter what.

Thanks a lot, I'm also well educated in actual NFL players and don't judge talent on if a player has been voted into the Pro-Bowl by fans or not, unlike some person around her named Stan. If you haven't been voted by the fans to a game you aren't good.

Thanks for the rep.

He's one of those guys who has the physical tools to be #1 DE but he disappeared for long stretches of time last year. He's been a bit better this year but still, I don't see the consistent pressure from him that would warrant a 1st round pick on him.

He does have the 5th most tackles for SC this year so he's at least active when not getting pressure and he's blocked 3 kicks in his career and forced a bunch of fumbles.

He's a good player but when our biggest need is consistent pressure on the QB, Jackson might not be the best of the DE's.

The way you discribed him sounds kind of like Justin Smith.

Yeah I was thinking that when I was writing it. I think Jackson's a little more athletic but Justin may have a higher motor.

College Football Players are weird.

They can be dominant in college then blow in the pros.

They can be good in the college and be dominant in the pros.

Alot depends on the scheme they play in in college and the scheme they play in in the NFL.

I don't think Crable will be around in the 3rd if he has a good combine, I also don't think Laurinaitus is a good fit for the Bengals D, he's a good player but more suited for a Tampa 2 team.
