I often hear people talking about certain and then mention that they haven't played their best ball yet. Upon thinking about this, we haven't either. Nobody ever says this about us, but we haven't. This Sunday if we can string together 4 solid quarters of football, we will win easily. AJ is going to give the Pittsburgh secondary fits if Dalton has time to throw. What was it that Troy requested last game about stopping the fire blitzing? I can't quite remember. But if our best football is still ahead of us this season, then the AFC is in for a rude awakening.

I can't imagine what'll happen if we finally put together four full quarters as opposed to playing from behind a score or two. If we can play the first half the way we do the second we will be a force.

I keep saying to myself this team has yet to just break one open out of the gate. They certainly have the capability to do so. You can see it in them. They get behind, and come back and win. They keep pounding until they achieve the win.

But at some point, the dam has to break. They are ready to come out on someone and put up 14 or more pts to zip in the first quarter and never look back. I just hope it is this week.

nice post...reps. i am reminded that we didnt have a training camp. which makes me think that the first few games were similar to a preseason....kind of a learn as you go. with the discipline of the coaching staff, i feel its time for us to start putting a full game together with these young men. this is really the time the last few super bowl champs have started peaking.....who dey? nobody!

I still think they should play at least one quarter under the stadium before the game starts so they will be ready to play. However, it seems the second quarter is when they falter the most so my idea still stinks:lol:

No we haven't, not even close. But we're gonna have to, to be in the playoffs. And we will !

I agree with most, I don't think we've played our best on offense or defense. We always seem to start off slow, I wish we could get it going from the kick off and receive the ball turn on the gas an go 100 miles an hour run them over and don't look back.I think and hope Marvin has finally got a team that can play in December you know how the steelers play their best football at the end of the season I think and hope that's us, I have been a fan since 1973 that is when I understood the game. This team has the defense with a good rotation that keep guys fresh a young confident QB maybe the best receiver in the game for sure the best 1 in the past draft. I say we play the most complete game sunday call me homer but I believe in my team we can make it happen:troll::mad::tiger::tiger:whodey!!!!!

You are correct. We have now learned how to never quit and come back from the depths to win game. Now it is time for next lesson. Stomping foot on accelerator from get go and putting foot on throat to put teams away. Steeler week would be good practice for this new method.

This team is due for a convincing win. I would love to see one this Sunday.

beat the steelers or ravens would be big...coming at end of season and still be in playoff hunt...with wins over them they would have alot of momentum and the experience of beating some of the best in the afc...that will give them the confidence to go all in and make a run...if they can play all 4 qtrs at there best theres no reason we shouldnt at least get 10 wins and a wild card spot.

I am getting all goose bumpy here..and it aint from the cold air!! WOW what a difference a few weeks make! I remember when there would always be "little digs" at so and so or him or whoever, sprinkled in with the positive comments. Not in this post, AND I LOVE IT!!! We have not played our best game yet, I certainly feel like this week may be the week..but if not it WILL COME. No matter the outcome of this week or this season...I LOVE THIS NEW TEAM. BUT we ARE going to WIN against the squealers December 4th 2011!!! WHO DEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They need to put together 4 good quarters this Sunday.

It is time the Bengals step out of the Squeelers shadow and take control of the AFCN for the next ten years.

If we play 4 solid quarters, we beat the Squeelers and more up to being an elite team in the NFL.

While I agree with you guys on beating the Steelers... I don't really care how we do it as long as well do it .... TBH I would really love to see our best game of the year come on 2-5-12 in a rematch of week 3. But I really doubt that happens.... gonna be really tough for them beat the Pack.
